starting from 1972, in just 12 years, mr. coppola gave us 4 cult classics, in their each different style and narratives. the godfather, the conversation, apocalypse now and rumble fish. and he made the godfather when he was 32. it is really unbelieavable, beyond comprehension. HUGE RESPECT.

So many people on here (whom I presume must be of a younger age) are commenting on his age, his looks, his weight. I guess I take it for granted that people have a basic understanding of biology. Living things age, decay, and eventually pass on. It strikes me not only as obtuse and pointlessly obvious, but in the realm of etiquette, discourteous, to remark (publicly) that someone looks old or skinny or overweight. It may come as new to most of you, but getting older afflicts us all. One shouldn't be so amazed by it. Nor should one point it out in others.
