You are the best guy I've seen that actually works with cheaper drones like the DJI Spark. Searching for this kind of stuff for a long time. Who needs an inspire when they have this thing?

great video however the antennas should point upward so the flat side is facing the drone for best signal.:)

Please update your video. Having the antenna pointed that way is the worst possible position. The transmission signal is the weakest from the antenna end.

Never point an antenna at the intended target. That's what's referred to as the "cone of silence" in radio technology. The antennas should be perpendicular to the target. That's going to increase resonance.
@stephen99446 жыл бұрын

my wife bought me just the spark in the combo pack. i really love it and would to know some rookie questions. i have two questions the first: How do I know that i am filming when flying? when its connected to my phone does the spark automatically start filming? the second question: I have an iPhone X, so where does my filming go in my phone? i don't see it in my photo app. I have flown the drone a few times and looks like I have only one film shot. i know its operator error. thanks for helping.

Francis all you say is cool, I ask one question.. how to!..."Record-Pause-Record-Pause" with Spark while it's in the air..thus have 4 or 8 different angles in 1 continuous video-clip-shoot, rather than editing cutting-pasting-after.. I can do the "Record-Pause-Record-Pause" with the mobile on gimble and have one scene four different angles, I am interested to do it with Spark..is it possible? regards Steven

Love your videos, but RE: Tip #1, DJI Store Rep told me the antenna should NOT be straight out... but straight UP so the flat part is facing the drone, as that is where the signal is coming from. I was having issues with image going in and out. Once I changed that, issue vanished. Just FYI. Don't mean to be a critic, but that was important for me to learn. Appreciate your vids!

How do you get this good quality videos. When I fly my drone the connetion is really bad and this culminates in sort of glitching frames. Do you use 3G or 4G?. Do you fly with or without controller and do you use any cable for the signal?

I fly with a controller and also take transfer the footage directly from card to laptop.

Hi Francis, nice videos and good tutorials. Maybe something to dive in deep, how to pan with the DJI Spark? When I use the left stick to pan the drone the footage always is horrible! Any suggestion? (to see footage I make with the DJI please take a look at my KZbin channel). And keep the humor in your videos it make them stand out!
@FrancisDarracott7 жыл бұрын
Thank Hans! my only suggestion is too look into frame rate. If uploaded wrong it can skip frames. Which gives it that jumpy feeling. Check out my new video on the spark.

Hi, thanks for sharing. But radio signal doesn't emit through the tips of the antennaes, but from the sides. Unless you are flying straight up above you, then the antennaes should be flat like your video. If away from you, the point them upwards. Happy flying! cheers!

Why does all of the Spark footage seem to "step" -- like every half second or so, it hiccups a little? Is that normal for this drone's capture?
