seems crazy to me after watching these guys push press when in comparison to a guy like klokov who push pressed 225 kg easily. how come with such a crazy push press like that he was not able to jerk much more? I mean I know he jerked 265 or something from the rack but in actual competition his best jerk is only 6 kg heavier than his best push press at 226 kg. why is this?

Beat? Video pls.
@classcougarreynolds9 жыл бұрын
He beat his WR which is 233kg because he was in the 94kg weight class. now he's moving up to the 105kg weight class. Dont get me wrong hes prob on ped's just like everyone else. but its mainly so he can withstand the training schedule. Ps the 105kg WR apparently is 238kg so i guess technically hes beaten that too. although i read hes abit heavier than 105kg right now. either way he's an absolute beast!!

why is half-squotting,i was expecting full depth squott any clues ?
@22ImHuge229 жыл бұрын
Thescreamingeagle3 He has stated in another video that he squats this way because the bounce out of the hole is the easiest part of any olympic movement(As long as the weight is caught correctly). So he stops where he feels the hardest part of recovery is and comes back up
@Thescreamingeagle39 жыл бұрын
22ImHuge22 thnx for reply, i was just cometing with my friend when the weight goes past 80% of max its harder for me to half squat then full squat(i thought i was "crazy")....back to the drawing board ;)
@williamad9 жыл бұрын
Thescreamingeagle3 not realy half squats tbh. His depht is good enought for powerlifting. well maybe he need a couple of cm more, but as long as the hip is below the knees its good.

cleaning with straps cringe
@pattebbutt21829 жыл бұрын
Ive heard alot of people say cleanign with straps is cringeworthy, why is that? i mean i do it on occasion if im out of chalk and ive never had a problem with it. If you could explain why i would really appreciate it, thanks!
@randolfvangelderen69389 жыл бұрын
Pat Tebbutt It takes some strain on the wrists, and if you use straps overhead you have less quick ability to remove yourself from the bar, i have seen horrible injuries when bars get dropped on the knees when lifters used straps
@pattebbutt21829 жыл бұрын
***** of what? The wrists?
@fangske27 жыл бұрын
thats because american clean with straps = broken wrists, kazak clean with straps = world records
@963hz6 жыл бұрын
fangske2 why is that? Americans aren't used to cleaning w straps? Kazakhs started that at like 10 years old? For the clean the straps (done correctly) help the lifter clean more but worry less about and strain less during the first pull? Result is using heavier loads?
