One of the greatest records of all time. The song was a standard and somewhat a dull song, but Frank’s vibrant country performance of it made the song sound brand new. The harmonica plays Walzing Matilda as a nod to Frank’s Australian heritage. Glen Campbell and John Denver both liked the song and performance very much which is praise indeed.

Enoma, August 1962, This song is No.1 in the U.K. Frank Ifield is on tour around the U.K. with 5 other acts. The bottom act at the bottom of the bottom. Is a funny looking group calling themselves The Beatles. A year from now artists like Frank will have been swept aside by Beatle Mania.Cheers, Chris Perry.
