I never hear this song without tears, both for the times I did it my way, and for the opportunities missed. Don’t be ashamed of your tears. They are how you know you still have a soul.🐝🤗❤️

You have to know Sinatra’s life to really understand how he is singing this song. He lived one of the most extraordinary lives of the 20th century. He tried to commit suicide twice, lost his entire career in the late 40s and early 50s. No one wanted to hire him anymore. But he knew he had talent - he knew he had a second half in him. And he reinvented himself and changed music forever

Don't be ashamed of any tears, many would have been spilt listening to this song. It is a song of defiance and pride, but also vulnerability and reflection. Perhaps not unlike Je ne regrette rien by Edith Piaf, which is also very moving. For another Sinatra song of similar content, you should check out 'That's Life' which also deals with a man determined to live life on his own terms but still plagued by doubts.

Andrei, I want to offer you some encouragement. Frank is not saying he got his way all the time and he controlled everything. He says he took blows, he bit off more than he could chew, he ate and spit it out (a reference to having to take things and deal with them that were not pleasant), but he says he stood tall. In other words, he managed life and all of the good and bad times in his own way. In this way, we all live our life and do it our way. I think you are a good man, and have done it your way. Just know.....struggling is not failure, it's just life. You are still standing and you are making great content that lots of people really enjoy🙂🙂☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The song was originally a French song, Comme D’Habitude, about a man living out the end of his marriage, the marriage killed by boredom. Paul Anka, after hearing Sinatra say he was quitting show biz, rewrote the song for Frank.

As a young man of 23 years, I cry every time I hear this song, I’ve suffered and enjoyed a lot in life so far and I’m still in the beginning. It’s the beauty of this song is to make you reflect but not regret, thank you for this reaction and showing your vulnerable side of listening to this song. It’s beautiful

I was literally going to start watching another video right in the middle of this reaction when that heartfelt moment kicked in with what this classic meant to the gentleman and I liked the video immediately and found my focus switched from the lady who is doing the first time reaction to you sir! Unfortunately when we are most vulnerable we are most relatable to others! I’m pretty sure many of us are touched (one way or another) by this classic song and some other ones as well. You Sir are not alone! Don’t be embarrassed by bearing your soul because you touch ours when you do so! Thank you so much for sharing this with me. God bless you guys! I’m tearing up too. Cheers

You know what I really really like about the reviews you two do, you let the real depth of the songs and lyrics flow through you. You reflect on the messages in the songs and what it means for you. You guys actually REACT. Many don't. They just listen to the tune in a light, surface way. So, thanks for letting us into your world. and for this song, Andrei, perhaps, I'm with you, only I'm older. too many regrets I'm afraid in my life. And very little went my way, the way I would like to have done it. Ahh, not bitter, but sad yes. So be it.

It needs a lot of guts to recognize you didn' t do it your way. Only a true and honest man do that. The thing is...what are you gonna do about it? There is a quote I love: "Each moment is a new opportunity to change it all". Much love for you both 🙏

Some songs connect with our own life's journey. It makes us reminisce of our happy and sad times. If you can't shed a tear now and then, you haven't got a heart or not in touch with your emotions. If you react to a song then it's been written as it was intended. I personally love a man that can show his feeling's and shed a tear or too... makes you human. That's why I'm loving your channel. You both compliment each other here and you say it as it is, how you interpret a song. I love the honesty in your reactions. I'm only new here so hello guy's from Australia ❤

They don't make them like they used to. Frank Sinatra was such a smooth crooner. This is before auto tuning. Artists had to be really able to sing. And the lyrics were clean, romantic & really meant something. He has a huge library of great songs. Some of my favorites are "Fly Me To The Moon", New York, New York", "Strangers In The Night", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "That's Life", "My Kind Of Town", "Summer Wind" etc. And he did a duet with his daughter Nancy called "Something Stupid" in 1967.

Shakespeare said it best "To this above all, to thine own self be true." I'm definitely one who doesn't just Dance To The Beat Of My Own Drum, I have my own Rhythm Section. Also nobody makes me do anything I don't want to. I'm definitely an unpredictable Firery Kooky Lady, with many and varied interests in life. My taste in music is a prime example I like practically every type from Classical to Heavy Metal. By M Friends and Family know they can count on my Unconditional Love and Stubborn Loyalty. Once I make Friends with someone, they've got one for life. My Favourite Uncle who was like a Dad to Me was so young at heart it was Impossible to think of Him As Old. I got My Policy from Him "If Men don't have to Grow Up Completely, Why Should I?" If my late beloved Uncle had a theme song it would be Frank Sinatra's "Young At Heart".

The most important lyrics in this song are "For what is a man, what has he got, if not himself, then he has not. To say the words he truly feels, and not the words of one who kneels." Don;t worry about not doing it your way....there are plenty of people who do and end up worse off. On the other hand some people think it's their jo b in life to prevent others from doing it their way as well. The world is a big gambling casino where they keep changing the rules in their favor - they who control the rules don't want you to win. If you land on your feet through honesty, you win baby!!! to hell with them. You must be happy from within first...not stupidly happy, but internally happy to deal with all the inhuman bull crap going...May God have the wind at your back, and the sun shining on your face. You might try Sinatra's version of One For My Baby....cool smooth emotional vocal, a classic. From a 67 year old former school music teacher.
