@@gina0426 think it may be cuz not everyone has or feel they have a safe place to be themselves and express that vulnerability openly *whether it’s the actual msg others have sent out or if just due to irrational fears* There’s also the crippling pressures of having to maintain some sort of façade, all the emotions are bound to come out sooner or later? I feel it would be an injustice to turn them away in those situations. It may seem trivial or annoying to others, but to those ppl at that moment, they may rly rly need it. So 👍 if you’ve been able to brighten their day/alleviate some of the burden, then you’ve done a very good thing! 🥰

At this point, I don't even try to engage in deep debate at parties, I almost always do it in one to one situations with people i consider 'worthy', or just online in the comments. As for parties, I just throw jokes like a machine gun and laught a lot, and people seem to like me somehow :P

As an INTJ, I agree with the leaving and not coming back to the party. What happens with me more often is I usually commit to sticking around visibly once I decide to go. The energy to dress well, do my hair, makeup, accessorize...I wouldn't just leave once I am there. My approach is to find something that I like and hold on to it for dear life. Whether it is the performers or the buffet or the bar or the few people I know, something will get me through that party. I almost never work the room, like the social butterflies do but I do alright.

Fellow ISFJ here... I agree on the deep conversation part. I have never prepared topics to talk about, but small talk is the most confusing and boring thing to me. Once I'm done with the weather and occupation... I have no idea what else to talk about. I am an ambivert, so social gatherings with small groups of people who I know well and am comfortable with does energize me. However, if I'm in a large group or with total strangers... I want to be done and go home while on the way there. I also have a very short threshold in those situations and am completely exhausted afterwards. Even if it is a small group who I know well and I'm energized when we leave, I then need the next 2 to 3 days at home... to read, write, paint and recharge. If I don't have that time alone and then need to go into a work week... I am ready to cry by the end of the work week. I, also have a playlist for every occasion... and several movie quotes that any situation reminds me of. My INTJ husband calls me a walking juke box. 😂
