This video is meant mostly for beginner/intermediate rouxers, but perhaps more advanced rouxers can learn a little. II am just showing multiple solutions of first block squares and first block pairs. Hopefully this gives some block-building building-blocks that will help when make full first block solutions.
I guess the next video I'm thinking of is doing pair + pair of the first block, but this time with influencing. And then square + pair with influencing and ultimately just first block. Then I guess move on to the second block.
"Block-Building Building-Blocks", that's a pretty great name; have to point it out just in case you didn't notice.

Thank you! It takes me way too long to do first block. Most of my solutions involve DL then the 2 pairs (i guess most beginners do that), could you do the same type of video where you force yourself to do the first square without doing the DL edge first?
@guroux
@guroux 4 жыл бұрын
the next video i'm planning is do solve DL, then solve pair + pair, but i will try to influence the second pair while doing the first pair. so i guess that's basically what you're asking for.

Kavin Tangtartharakul What I mean is that I find it hard to exploit a connected edge (other than DL) because I always struggle to connect DL and the matching corner in order to make the first square, so most of the times I do the first block with DL and the 2 pairs. Anyway I am always looking forward to inspection + first block videos!

My Roux has 90 moves how to reduce it, my FB takes 17 moves, is it ok?
@guroux
@guroux 4 жыл бұрын
aim for 60-70 moves for now. experts usually average around 50 moves or less.

@@phoenixcooper8289 i am not sure what you mean. don't pay attention to any of the other pieces, or even the centers. just look at your fb pieces. orient the cube relative to the first block pieces the way i do it. for example, i start my solution at a certain orientation of the cube. let's say the DL edge is in the UF position. so you do the same. hold the cube such that your DL edge is in the UF position. and then copy my solution, everything should work out.
