@@frozencowboy6552 That is the problem with reboots with only one actor that is constant from the original. Niles is the character that really carried the show, and without him the series just isn't like it was. Frasier interacting with Niles made the show along with the father and Daphne. They all played off each other well and made the show interesting. To only have Frasier is disappointing and Lilith wasn't really a big part of the show so her reappearance doesn't help much. IMPO they would have done well to have the show in the same city with the same places and some minor repeats. Trying to have Frasier carry the show in another city I just can't see it.

I like the New Frasier and hope people will give the first season time to develop the characters. The first season of any comedy is a tough one and character development will take place. People need to remember this is not the old show and young actors need their chance to shine. Playing both to a young and older audience. Give them time for development. Love the new Freddy!

As much as I like Frasier and Lilith, I still think it's sad that network producers insist on bringing back one vintage sitcom after another instead of encouraging and accepting brand new shows. I guess the imagination just isn't there. That's why God gave us cable I suppose.

I've been watching this for a little bit tonight I respect it because I love Frasier, I think it's a show and a sitcom that has its own comedy and I happen to enjoy it, if they dropped the laugh track it'd be better, classic man they really are, I don't care too much for it , there's something about sitcoms filmed today and the way they're written it just doesn't have that same spark anymore.

@@earlsmith7428 Why? She looks ancient. Hadn't colored her hair. Neither did Frazier. And at this point the dating bit is too d-mn old. Also Freddy is Not in good character. All the two did together to give Freddy the proper life, best education and he goes for Civil Service position as a fireman. This is a big bummer.
@earlsmith74287 ай бұрын
@@eloiseockert9233 Just being sentimental I suppose. I like Bebe Newirth as Lilith, and it's fun to see her again. What Freddy is doing is an act of rebellion due to something that happened at Harvard. We may find out later.
@kokoromind32827 ай бұрын
@@eloiseockert9233 Why should they color their hair? It's been 20 years, both in the series and real life. People age, people change. And the dating part. People don't stop dating just because they are older now, so why would that not be a part of the series. And even if Freddy got the best education and "proper" life, he would obviously go a different way if he felt like it when he got older, and they said in an interview that they decided to make him a firefighter to pay tribute to martin who was a policeman. I think the show got better towards the last few episodes and hopefully it will continue to evolve and develop into something just as hilarious as the old frasier. hopefully more of the original cast will join or visit the show if more seasons gets picked up.

@@michelmadaire Niles was great, no doubt. The lack of depth brought by John Mahoney is also sorely missed. There is just something - missing. The soul, the intelligence, the depth of the cast. It's a beer buddy uneducated comedy with Crane in it. Fredrick's actor his his 'girlfriend' are forgettable characters. They are uninteresting cardboard. We want to see Fraiser employ his wit and the subtle pokes that make fun of the intellectual class, not cry over his shortcomings. We laughed at times at Fraiser's oblivious snobbery. Now, we feel pity for him. Those are my big takeaways.

I do not like how they made Lilith in this continuation. During the end of Frasier, there was absolutely zero hint, that animosity between Frasier and Lilith had gotten worse, if anything it had gotten far better that they valued each other deeply as good trustworthy friends. And for them to end up insulting and sniping at each other as though their divorce was last week, makes absolutely no sense. I'm sorry, but as a Frasier and Cheers loyalist, this is not Lilith at all.

I know the old show practically by heart. This one is good, but one of its major flaws is that the storyline is never about any of the other characters. In the old show, an entire episode would be about Roz, or Daphne, or Martin, or Niles. Now it’s all about one relationship - Frasier and Freddie’s. Maybe that will change as the series progresses.

Huge fan of Cheers & Frasier, but sorry I've not had a single LOL moment through 7 episodes. Makes me wonder if the production is using a laugh track. IMHO, I wish the Reboot would have taken an entirely different direction - drama first with a touch of humor. Imagine the drama concerning first responders (life & death, tragedy), education (in today's social media world), mental health with Frasier's humor mixed in. Through 7 episodes, the only emotional reaction I got was shedding a tear when Frasier & Freddy reminisced about Martin in episode 1. MASH was brilliant - surgeons trying to save lives in the Korean War when armies were trying to destroy each other; and All In The Family - Archie the bigot dealing with social changes in the 70's - dramedy at its best.
