Lilith was a diabolically ingenious creation. I would love to have been in the writers' room the day they dreamed her up, and at the table read the day Bebe Neuwirth first fleshed her out. She had the perfect combination of dry cerebral line delivery and that sultry undercurrent of repressed primal energy. It was so cool how much her character added to Frasier's "Cheers" story arc, even when the other characters only mentioned her.
@yorkiemom61444 жыл бұрын
In an early episode of Frasier, he's doing his radio show talking to a phone client. He mentions Lilith in passing, and the mood is absolutely visceral. Just the mention of her!

I still have hopes that when the writers of the Frasier reboot are looking to add characters to replace Martin Crane, LILITH moves up into the ranks of the main cast! They could for instance have Frasier move back to Boston to be near Frederick, who is now actually on The faculty at Harvard, bringing him and LiIth back together with Niles as quite a regular visitor! Probably a third rate panic idea as a storyline, but I can't see another way of getting things back together? BTW, Bebe Nuwirth has a CD out! A really great voice!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

A big part of why she was so attractive was because she was a Broadway star. Every really big stage performer I’ve ever seen in person had an aura and confidence that was out of this world hot. You can’t hide that with a suit and a hair bun, obviously.

As somebody who only ever saw Frasier this is like some kind of expanded universe prequel that was somehow made just now. Diane was a star and the show was much better with her; Lillith was an entirely different type of character but in real life, yes, she was a much higher grade of hot. And Rebecca, God bless her, she really didn't add much to the show and the Producers and Casting folks never admitted they made a mistake with her. She really didn't add much to the show, except it gave all the other actors a chance to shine because her character was too boring to make any kind of focus.

I like her character so much! In Fraser Lilith was downplayed as a mean bitch from Fraser's past, but in reality she was so much more...

I think most of that is because Frasier is from the point of view of him and his family after the divorce. There are actually quite a few touching scenes that they share together, including her last episode where it’s acknowledged that, no matter what, they will always have a certain kind of love for eachother. If they do a reunion show, she needs to come back.

Agreed on Cheers you saw exactly why Frazier went bananas for her.

I liked her too. She reminded me of myself.

I find the scene where Lilith sings "My Funny Valentine" extremely funny, because in the late 90's I saw Bebe Neuwirth playing Velma in a revival of "Chicago," and her singing was spectacular.

From the time I was a small child, I had a crush on Lilith. I loved her power suits. I was 8, and knew I had to meet a woman like that when I grew up.

Love Lilith! I do remember seeing Bebe Newirth in Chicago on Broadway. She was great and very accomplished dancer, of course. I’m not crazy about that singing style, but she made it work.

Lilith: I’m nearly done defrosting. Niles: and the turkey? Lilith: might I suggest you stuff it?

I always loved Lilith. She was so misun9and under appreciated. Natural beauty and charm.

Holy hell. I've only ever watched Frasier, and thought Lilith really needed to be a more prominent character. This montage has convinced me to watch Cheers just for her moments. She is great.
