Might just be me but this sounds like the type of song to be played when someone is about to be sent off on a trip to Belize

This song is perfection, like a haiku, and it is hard to imagine anybody singing it as well as its author.

It's been NINE years since you posted this comment mrrap1 and IF you are still alive you can stop searching for the person who sang this tune as well as its author. José Feliciano !!! ~ From his very 1st album entitled simply 'Feliciano' ℗ 1967 BMG Music .. Just A Little Bit Of Rain (Digitally Remastered) kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXvQkmaugN6El6c

If I should leave you, Try to remember the good times... Warm days filled with sunshine And just a little bit of rain... And just a little bit of rain... And if you look back, Try to forget the bad times, Lonely blue and sad times And just a little bit of rain... And just a little bit of rain... And if I look back, I will remember all the good times... Warm days filled with sunshine And just a little bit of rain... And just a little bit of rain...

I would love to know how the music director of 'This Is Us' even knew about this song, to include it in episode one of season three. Just a terrific, compelling, simple song that has so much meaning when used in a scene about the first date of a couple who we already know will have 'a little bit of rain' way too soon. Wow.

I sang this song at my Dad’s funeral. He used to sing it and it was so appropriate for his life. Beautiful song

Thank you so much! It was hard to find much information about Fred, but he was such a wonderful singer and songwriter, that I did my best to find out who his friends were, and the people he performed with. Glad you like it :)

No, it's not--it's Charlie Brown, who was the owner of the Gaslight South Café in Coconut Grove, Florida. I have put a list of photos in the description. Thanks for asking!

I recently discovered this incredible singer/writer who ducked the corporate the bullsh*t. People toss around the term "hero," quite loosely because it sounds good in the media. Fred Neil is a true hero because he didn't sell out like so many others who sold out a$ whores. His art speaks for itself while others suck up to the Billboard Top... whatever, LOL!

I have heard several versions of this song, Fred Neil, Karen Dalton, etc.and the versions by those singers are awesome, but my favorite version is by Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys!

I saw Fred many times at the Gaslight when I was in high school. His death was so sad. No one knew who he was. I wonder what happened that he quit singing.

I believe he ducked the media and the corporate sell out. At the same time the artists of his generation did hold him in great respect- just check out whose he did hang with.

My son sent me here to hear Fred. He thought our voices were similar. And he's right, but I don't know that could do this any better.. I am Grandpajoe on Singsnap. I think the closest song I've done is "All I Ask For Anymore".
