Fred Olsen ms Bolette Day 1 (Rotterdam)

Fred Olsen Bolette our first full day on board . We find our bearings around the ship, have our first experience of breakfast on board have a go at another quiz or two. We try out the poolside cafe, visit Rotterdam in not so good weather, go back to the Markthal and visit a familiar stop. After we return to the ship it'stime to get ready for formal night and our welcome on board party with the Captain and senior officers. We enjoy a really good show in the theatre then have an early night ready for our shore excurion tomorrow morning.

55 minutes to get your breakfast, and then it was cold? No maple syrup either and room not made up? Sounds like a problem. Wonder about service… Not good, but glad Lindsey got good service at Reception! So kind of Ken to point out Lindsey lost her card!🤣Looked really dark as you went on your walk. 2nd place on the quiz is good! Nice to know you can get other bits you’ve forgotten. Couldn’t hear you very well over the wake or the Pool Grill, at dinner, FYI. Pool Grill food looked great! Onion marmalade on a burger? Yuck! Hope they warned that it would come with that. Great pictures in Rotterdam! Never been there. Have you ever noticed ship Captains all have the same accent?😂 You and Lindsey looked lovely on formal night! They should warn you if a soup is going to be that spicy. Glad the entrees at dinner were good. Sorry desserts weren’t great. Lovely Pub, and glad that the entertainment was good. Great that you won the last quiz for a second time! Prizes???

It seems there were a few teething issues but the service in general was excellent. I think things in a burger are a matter of choice all the US lines insist on putting pickles in a burger where us Brits prefer fried onions. Thanks for watching again Cheri

Servers should never serve cold meals. Lol...invitation to meet the captain. All 1000 specially invited guests😅

It was a shame that breakfast was cold but there was obviously a real problem in the kitchen that day. The staff were so apologetic.

Tip. Your camera and audio could be improved. Dji pockt 3 with mic is used by many incl ben and david and uses directional mic or a directional remote mic or even both. Its very small and discrete.
