Join me in this video after taking on the challenge to fix @FreddieDobbs Triumph Bonneville T100SE. This motorcycle is the central focal point of his channel and has been right there with him on many adventures from all over Europe to the Sahara, across the Atlas Mountains to the local coffee shop!
In this video we get the swing arm in and the front end all built up.

That'sbrilliant how you've tidied up the forks (that was from ratchet strapping it on my trailer!). And the Triumph wiring- very interesting! I'm trying to mentally put together all of the different angles of the bike you've shown... It looks like a new bike!! This is so far beyond what I dreamt of:)

That's "broken window theory" Freddie! If the bike was brand new, you might take more care when strapping it down. Because it wasn't running well, you've caused preventable damage to parts which were still good.

Just in awe of your attention to detail. This really will be better than new when finished. You are a master craftsman, and Freddie is very lucky to have you completely rebuild his bike. You need to whip up a small engraved metal plate, 'Restored by The Wurks. Day/month/year', and mount it on the bike where it can be seen. All becomes part of this bike's legacy.

Another great lesson in refurbishing a bike. When Freddie comes to pick it up I’d love to see you giving him a good ‘talking to’ about the need to take care of it in the future….perhaps even give him some VERY BASIC tuition? Although I have a suspicion he’ll ignore whatever you say once he gets the bike back - the best approach might be to take Monika aside and get her on board in the hope he’ll listen to her!

I'm so glad you are giving Freddie's Bonneville a new lease of life, Joe & Emily, it's all starting to come together now, and I'm looking forward to hearing it run again; a bit more fine tuning and it will be as good as new motorcycle. 🏍 My appreciation of Triumph Motorcycles has grown since you started this project and the way in which you've approached all the challenges has been admirable. Im looking forward to Freddie having a new Bonneville back, and hearing his views and opinions, but at the same time, I will miss the dedication and enthusiasm you've both put into creating these videos and the journey from start to finish. All the best at The Wurks. Great Work.

I noticed the 'black' in the headlight-shell where you've treated small-rust-areas with converter . I do this on every-new bike (new to me ) when I'm going-over it , same with underside of chrome/metal guards and all those tiny-places around gussets etc. where rust first-starts . I once spent a year trying to sort electrical-gremlins on a Virago-1100 , I never won that battle . It was a very-cool bike though (much to my surprise ) now I have it's 'Daddy' , the-earlier TR1 chain-drive Roadster , suits me much-better than Cruiser-style bikes and runs like a Champ . Dave nz

It's coming on well, looking fantastic! My 2010 Speed Triple was meant to have a similar issue @7:30 - a lot of them did, the small alloy/steel bracket (on a Speed, that is) pulled the loom to tight to the headstock and the inevitable happened. I relieved the bracket somewhat away from the headstock to give the loom more freedom, never had an issue there yet, however very much worth checking under the tape at this stage on the Bonneville. Looking forward to the next upload, am sure Freddie is too. Thanks for your hard work and content buddy! 🤩

I'm more like a Freddie than a Joe. Interesting to see how simple the Triumph is! You've got to love a basic, two-cylinder bike like that. Oh, and have I mentioned that I love Emily's accent? It's different from yours. Yes, even we Yanks can pick up on that ;-)

@@melfzs Yes serviced & looked after to a degree ,but not fussed over ,they are vehicles for providing transport from A to B . The odd scratch ,dent or bit of rust ,isn’t going to hurt them . The main thing is to keep them mechanically sound & reliable . These classic style of bikes were only ever in mint condition when new in a dealers show room . Their owners cleaned them by giving them the odd wipe over with an oily rag now & then ,creating a nice well worn age patina & character . A lot of bikers are turning into fussy molls ,these days more concerned with cleaning & polishing ,than doing what motorcycles are built for ,which is riding .
