Join me in this video after taking on the challenge to fix @FreddieDobbs Triumph Bonneville T100SE. This motorcycle is the central focal point of his channel and has been right there with him on many adventures from all over Europe to the Sahara, across the Atlas Mountains to the local coffee shop!
In this video we get the wheels fitted, speedo drive and cable in place and Emily literally turns my world upside down!
If you wish to join us for the DGR either sign up to the Tamworth ride or a ride from other midlands dealerships which are heading to the Triumph HQ Hinckley factory.

Joe & Emily, the ‘masterclass’ continues, there is something just incredibly therapeutic about watching this whole rebuild and your steady, methodical approach coupled with the lovely banter between each other makes for great Sunday afternoon content. A lot of people are concerned about the economic value of the work for an older bike but to me it is more about showing that we don’t have to live in such a disposable society and ‘brand new’ doesn’t always mean better. Really looking forward to the first start up!

Good man. You're the first person on any KZbin channel I've ever heard say about the proper amount of loctite to use. I've been an engineer for nearly 40 years and I've genuinely enjoyed your series on sorting out Feddies bike. It's been a pleasure not finding myself swearing at what's happening on my screen. There are a lot of, so called, experts on KZbin and it's really nice watching you and your good lady fixing the triumph, properly. keep doing what you're doing. Thank you.

If Freddie had had the time, then spending a few days in the shop cleaning the old parts, handing Joe tools, etc. would have been an invaluable learning experience. Like I'm telling you something you don't already know! 🤣 I've been watching Freddie's channel for a bit now, and I always thought he was a bit of a prat, but after seeing the neglect he has put his Bonnie through, and him questioning the cost to correct it, I'm certain of it. How anyone could let their motor get that bad is beyond me! 🙄

I love your "Q&A" game, still learning a lot from watching. I almost expected the question why they don't use the same nut size on both sides of the axle. This often isn't obvious to beginners. Until they start searching for a second size 24 nut...

@luddite6239
@luddite6239 3 ай бұрын
Could you imagine Joe fitting tyres the wrong way round! 95% of "V" style tread tyres are fitted that way - the V on the rear tyre faces the direction of rotation and the V on the front faces backwards. Those are Michelin Road Classics and are fitted correctly.
@gillianbrodie6807
@gillianbrodie6807 3 ай бұрын
@@luddite6239 No, I couldn't really imagine that!! In the old days, when I was your age 😅 (several decades ago) they were always the same way round as I recall, and I must say, although I have a bike, I haven't paid a great deal of attention to the general tyre configurations in modern times. At least I noticed the difference! 😅 Thanks again. 🤗
@luddite6239
@luddite6239 3 ай бұрын
@@gillianbrodie6807 you're quite right - tyres from back in the day did tend to be different, although many front tyres had longitudinal ribs rather than "V"s I'm not sure when things changed - probably when treads started to be designed by computer!
