Ooh I am so excited to hear this new song!

Freddie wrote that with Giorgio Moroder for a remastered soundtrack to the silent German film Metropolis and apparently it was a real disco-y song. it was reworked as a ballad in 2014 and released onto the album Queen Forever.

I think there are about 8 versions of Love Kills. The original Freddie/Giorgio version (he wrote Donna Summer's I Feel Love btw) is on The Freddie Mercury Album (1992), this rock version on Freddie Mercury Solo (circa 2003) and as you say, the Queen version from 2014 but there are many remixes, most available on the Solo project (12 cds)

I also found a song a month ago from Queen forever album called Let me in your heart again. Please, please I would love for you to do an reaction on this. It is such a good song that Freddie did.

Oh yes. That was released on the Queen Forever album as one of three 'new' songs along with the Freddie/MJ collab and 'Queen' version of Love Kills... Let Me In Your Heart Again was a single for Anita Dobson (Mrs. Brian May) but Freddie tried to sing it in 1984 but the band were not happy and binned it. Brian says he found the tape 30 years later and he and Roger reworked it into what I believe is one of their best songs and a virtuoso performance by Freddie. Please react to it!

I do like this, & have heard several versions. So, Lisa, When are you going to react to the Queen Official Lyrics video of Freddie's other rockabilly song, Man On The Prowl?
@karolyn86445 жыл бұрын
You might also like to react to some of Roger Taylor's solo work, maybe start with Foreign Sand, then Strange Frontier, The Unblinking Eye (Everything is Broken) and Journey's End.

I find it interesting when you look at the frontmen or co-frontmen so identified with a band that still managed to have successful solo careers: All four Beatles. Robert Plant post Led Zeppelin. Peter Gabriel AND Phil Collins had massive success outside of Genesis. Both surviving members of the Who, though Pete Townshend more so than Roger Daltrey. Hell, even Mick Jagger did pretty well outside of the Stones! You would think with his considerable talents, Freddie would be tailor-made for an outside solo career. Perhaps he made bad choices, not enough hype put behind it by the record company, who knows? In addition, had he toured his solo albums, you know he would have been under pressure (pun intended) to perform Queen songs. Robert Plant wouldn't mix in any Zeppelin until he toured his fourth solo album. Paul McCartney usually has a pretty good mix of Beatles and solo material. Even Peter Gabriel, whose solo career has lasted 4-5 times his tenure in Genesis, will pull out one of the band's early chestnuts for the gray beards and those just discovering the early material. Would Freddie have even been allowed by an audience to showcase his solo stuff without hearing folks yelling for Queen songs? Obviously, we'll never know, but I suspect we can figure out the answer.

I know you're not just about the frontman, neither am I. I was just noting that, unlike the others I mentioned, Freddie's solo career wasn't nearly as successful, despite every indication that it could have been.

Well, I've got a plan together to get everything in my name before I make any moves with Mom. This has been hard, and the one time I wish I weren't the only child.

This version of the song was made for the Freddie Mercury Solo project and included on the bonus disc of the mini Solo project. It is nothing to do with Queen, and by that I mean Brian is not the guitarist featured. It has been a bit of a trend for remixes of Freddie solo material to feature someone trying to sound like Brian and in my opinion this particular version is a bad example of that!

Have you heard the regular version of this song? It is WAAAAAAAAY better. I tend to stay away from remixes, cause they are usually fan-made, usually by DJs, and usually ruin the original song.
