Queen actually hired Marc twice, first to lead Queen Extravaganza, Queen's own cover band managed by Roger Taylor and Brian May, and then again to provide vocals for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.

Check out Marc’s 90’s cover series, he did Iris, Everybody Hurts, a Jeff Buckley styled Hallelujah cover, etc. Marc just sounds like Freddie naturally. As he got older he sounded more like him, no matter how many songs he does, he sounds like Freddie. Marc didn’t even listen to Queen until the early 2000’s. Every show he did with his band at the time Downhere, people came up to him and said he sounded like the legendary Queen frontman. So he eventually did a deep dive of their discography & became a fan instantly. Even Roger Taylor and Brian May recruited him for their official tribute band at the time. He’s a fantastic talent, definitely do more of his content. It’s a hidden gem of fantastic music. Either it be his covers or originals.

Always thought that Marc should be fronting Queen instead of Adam Lambert. Adam is a great singer but for the fans Marc makes us feel exactly like you did watching this. Makes us feel that Freddie is still with us for a few moments through his voice. Absolutely amazing. His version of I want to break free with kazoo solo is so good. I'd recommend that and of course love of my life if you fancy a good cry. Awesomely genuine reaction bro.
@JoshCarlos19982 жыл бұрын
From my perspective I just like Marc doing his own thing. Would it be cool if he was fronting Queen? Yeah, but I think Adam does a decent enough job of filling that role Brian & Roger wanted. With the freedom Marc has, he can basically do whatever lol. Either it be a Queen cover, promoting an upcoming tour, a cover of another song by a different artist (IE his 90’s cover series), cool informative vids (His kissing a fool vid or Let Me Entertain You cover), original music, etc.

@artfulstories2 жыл бұрын
@gamingmasters 123 nope, like Babooshka says. His performance on Idol was Queen Extravaganza's debut in 2011. Adam competed on Idol in 2009, 3 years prior. This officially sanctioned tribute band went on tour after that. It wasn't an audition. Marc toured with them from 2012-2016, now he fronts his own band, The Ultimate Queen Celebration. He fronts other Queen related projects as well.

What is so great about Marc performing Queen songs (to me anyway) is that some of Queen's greatest material came out after they had stopped touring because of Freddie's declining health. So people never really got to see that stuff live, and while he is not a 100% copy I feel like it's the closest we can realistically get, and for that I am thankful.

Since Marc was born while Freddie was alive, "reborn" is a bit of a stretch. @@KaliFlamingo I just chalk it up as: Queen have already proven they are the best. Once Freddie passed the band itself was pretty much unofficially “done.” Yeah, they did an album with Paul Rodgers plus touring with Adam Lambert, but I think Brian & Roger are content on where they are at in their careers. Also feel bad for John Deacon. After Freddie died he wasn’t really the same after that. He still keeps tabs on some Queen related stuff, but it’s mainly marketing/consoling stuff I believe-I could be wrong though.
