The Golden Boy is a perfect song. The soulless always misinterpret understanding and efficiency as being cynical. Like cutting them off cause they make mistakes equates in their monkey brain to 'people act mean to others when they are stronger' Or they see a strong leader with confidence who never waiver BECAUSE he put a lot of effort in to thinking and perfecting decisions before speaking and since they can only see the surface and not perceive what makes the surface events happen, their soulless brain spits out, 'me copycat stronger leader by never admitting me wrong then me be strong leader...there's nothing more to it'...

I like at the end how it fell apart and then somehow they were able to interact with each other and she messed it up by trying to act cynical (due to misinterpreting his well drawn by God path cause she was a hollow shell) and the first line being doomed to curse her came true from her own actions. The song is clever. It's like fixing someone up on a date and glossing over problem areas quick and burying the problem area (like saying, 'there's a lot of her to love' when she's the size of a behemoth and then talking about her having a good job and being funny. That's what he was going for with 'the boy has a way with word'...that first line was what was to come back around to curse the entire event. That's why the music turns back in the end to match that part of the song. This is a true creative triumph. These songs from the extended Barcelona sessions set his rise like a Phoenix for the Miracle and Innuendo sessions).

A lot of soulless losers think this song is about a celebrity or someone but they can't understand the words and the cleverness that Freddie puts in to presenting the situations. His rise was a rise in enlightenment and he was noticed and adored by God for telling the truth. Then from the perspective of the woman, he became all they said and more and made her give up on the idea that he would bring fame and fortune and the truthfulness of his words and authenticity to his truth cursed the woman after a slow burning decay of her psyche as the words echoed like a curse. She made matters worse by not being authentic and trying to mimic him and perceived his behavior and callous, cold and cynical. It's an amazing 5 minute opera Freddie wrote. That last part is an important life lesson. The broad thought acting like him will make him change and they could be together but he was authentic and truthful and saw the manipulative behavior as an assault on truth and it made things worse for her. Many immature women are like that and will make that same mistake to manipulate issues. It's endlessly wrong and exposes their selfish viewpoint that doesn't see the bigger purpose of a driven man beyond him being their, 'boo'.

Folks don't you understand that this is a religious song that brings the angel with the sword in it's mouth to life (hence way with words, cycism makes the words echo in a reverse echo that gets louder as time passes until it crushes you)

This song is quite funny. Just cause Freddie was a great straight man (that's even funny since folks think he was an out there gay) like with the comedy in Bohemian Rhapsody or the March of the Black Queen (tattoo all her pies (selfish) Yada Yada yoda, never dots her i's (cause evil is selfish and always misses the point). This song is set up like a friend setting up a blind date and glossing over bad traits, like saying a fat broad is just 'big boned' then going off on a ton of positives like mentioning she's funny and smart and has a good job. The song is set up that way. For the guy, the trait is, he has 'a way with words' (a way with words that'll make you kill yourself cause it's such biting truth) and the girl 'has an iron soul that no one can recognize' (she thinks she's better than she is because she's weak and act sweet to others and make them think she's nice as he put by 'material ambition that her gentleness disguise' But there's no good traits about her, it was all fakeness and desperation for material wants because she was empty). It's a brilliant, clever, hilarious and curative masterpiece. It's a pretty amazing creative high mark done under unexpected pressure cause he wasn't planning on writing an entire album by himself that soon but God sent his radio some amazing content to use.
