Thanks Robert. My main goal was to preserve the MGs from being hot-rodded. They were just too nice and somewhere out there is a young person who will have a great project car to work on. Right now, half of the MGSA is dirt free, preservation class, the other side is barn find dirty, the way Tom loves them!…:}

@@mgsa2333 Right! I'm not really a car enthusiast, so I appreciate it only by the looks of it and not of its engines and such but those kind of cars are my dream car. When I first saw a picture of those long nose car with those fenders, i fell in love with it. I really want to own one though it's far from reality hahaha. Cheers to you kind sir, hope your cars will be in good hands in the future.

The "barn find" portion of the story of the Chrysler 60 was sort of brushed over. The second owner, Bill Reynolds used to go past the first owner's house. One day, the garage door was open and he saw Mr. Shank polishing the car, which rarely ever left the garage. Mr. Reynolds struck up a conversation with Mr. Shank and eventually purchased the car from him. I'm a friend of Mr. Reynolds and Melvin's and saw Tom at Greenfield Village. I introduced Melvin and Tom to each other and I'm glad an episode of Barn Find Hunter came out of their meeting. I'm very glad the incredible story of this car has now been shared with a much larger audience! Thank you Tom, Melvin, and all the past owners of the Chrysler for their preservation of the car and its amazing story!

If this guy would have been around when I was in college, the MG SA would have been mine. I had two MGBs back then my daily driver I had bought in boxes. The previous owner spliced two cars together. One car was a 73, and the other was a '67. It was title as a '67. The had prepped it for paint, but couldn't get it to run. The '67 was positive ground, the '73 was negative ground. The guy had the coil wired backwards. Because it wouldn't run he sold it for $1000. I put that car together and it was my daily driver. So anyway, having an interest in MGs, I met someone who had an MG SA. It was just sitting outside in his drive. I thought the car was cool, but it was not forsale at the time. So I certianly would have bought this one back in the 80s dollars.

VetteKid, Agree about THF. I live within sight of the museum, and large as it is, the Museum storage facility next door dwarfs it. I was fortunate enough to get a private tour, and imagine 300 vehicles stretching for two blocks. Last vehicles owned, Roosevelt's Rolls next to Henry Ford's 40s sedan, both preserved. Thousands of artifacts, way to long to discuss here….9/10ths are in that building, 1/10th on display.
