After over a decade of severe insomnia (Zero sleep for up to Eight days and long nights at times) - you did last night what no other "heavy hitter" on youtube's sleep hypnosis/meditation channels, sleep apps, sleep podcasts, sleep music, clueless sleep doctors, years of medications and herbals and drugs, mantras, books, pressure points, affirmations, binaural beats, yoga, and cbt-i etc etc etc etc etc etc eyc etc did not do. 💞 i fell asleep during this hypnosis last night. 💞 i don't know why you never showed up on my searches before.... but i am so grateful that you did. Sweet dreams to those who are kind. 🙏🏽 #biglove

I've listened to this for about a year and a half. In 2013 I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder. On top of that, my nan passed away from cancer and I felt that the grieving made everything 100 times worse. I was having anxiety dreams (or should I say nightmares) where someone would be trying to drown me, or my teeth would just be crumbling in my mouth and the dream that I recall the most is one where I was doing my nans makeup for her funeral and she came back to life and was talking to me in my dream and I tried to get hold of my mum on the phone to tell her that my nan was alive, but by the time my mum got there, my nan had passed away again. It was getting so bad that I eventually couldn't sleep at all. I was really tired all of the time, I didn't want to see or talk to anyone and I couldn't even eat. I decided to give this a try and it was the first time I'd ever given hypnotherapy a chance! I started listening to it every night for about 4 months and I'm so glad I did because it really helped with the dreams and my anxiety (over time of course). Even though I still have depression and anxiety, it's a lot better than what it was. I still listen to it now and again when i have difficulty sleeping and it works like a charm every time! I just want to say thank you so much for this video! I really don't know what I'd have done without it.

@@RebeccaLisa616 I just got pulled out of my almost full asleep phase when my phone rang! (I honestly didn’t think I’d hear back from you after I sent my comment & noticed your post was 6yrs ago-pleasant surprise!). No doubt my phone’s on DND now & everything I’ve read in the last 10 minutes has assured me that my alarm will go off loud even while actively using do not disturb turned on my iPhone. I literally just started a new job & cannot lose it! So I did a test & it worked! I’ve lost a few really good jobs due to lack of sleep because of depression & anxiety (like paralyzing anxiety bordering on agoraphobia which leads to calling in too much). I beat agoraphobia once back in 2004, so I’m confident that with staying on my meds correctly that I can keep it from happening again. Your comment was very kind & I never take the kindness from others-especially ppl that don’t know me for granted. So, thanks! 😄 Maybe we can chat some other time, who knows? Perhaps we can swap stories & give each other helpful tips. Lol ...so for real now, time for sleep 💤 Have a great day! I know I have upset some people with the disclaimer at the start of this video, in regards to people with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and epilepsy. I have changed my mind about some of this, since this video was released. Please see the description below the video, or the website FAQ, for more information. Here are some of the points: (1) If you have bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, particularly if it is stable, using this video should be fine. It is advisable and a good idea to let your doctor know as well. Please see www.liberationinmind.com/faq/#hypnosis-and-significant-mental-health (2) I feel for people who have epilepsy and want to use this video. It is probably ok, but please get permission from your doctor or neurologist first. Please see: www.liberationinmind.com/faq/#hypnosis-and-epilepsy I am unable to change the audio in this video, so instead, I hope this message here, and the update in the video’s description, helps a little. Paul

May I ask the reason why this may cause a potentially harmful or negative impact on people with either bipolar disorder or schizophrenia? I am just interested in what the reason behind the initial idea was, seeing that I have been (in the past, not under current regulations) classified as bipolar. From what I understood meditation was suppose to help relax and maintain a healthy balance of mood, so what there a reason for this caution or was it just some kind of misinformation? Thank you very much for the video and hard work put into this, and have a blessed day 💜

I am currently taking my GCSEs and for the past four weeks I have been suffering from lack of sleep. I've been getting an hour or so and then waking up for multiple and doing that many times a night which has been awful for me. I linked it to the stress I was feeling from my exams- not being able to do them, failing the exam, failing my parents....i have a phobia of failing. I let all my feelings out to my mum and a couple of close friends about a week ago and one friend recommended that I listen to this. I'm so grateful that she did because I slept the best I have ever slept on Sunday night. I went to bed at 9.15 and was asleep within ten minutes and I didn't wake up once during the night. I woke up at 6.45 to prepare for the exam so had a decent breakfast, cup of tea etc. Thank you so much for uploading this, I couldn't be without it I really couldn't. I've never slept so well in my life x

I watched this last night at about 2am after struggling with falling asleep for almost 2 hours. Have to admit, after literally less than 5minutes, I was knocked the fuck out and woke up more refreshed than I have been in ages. Keep it up, hope to see more in the future!

Wanted to say thank you ! I suffer from fibromyalgia and insomnia. The medication was making me feel sick and with less energy in the mornings. I came across this video and gave it a shot, must say that when I woke up I was stunned lol unable to believe how good I felt. I was able to sleep for 6 hrs without any medication. You made me feel as if I had control of my mind and body once again and for this I'm very thankful.

Worked out that I don't even last 10minutes into this video, I'm out like a light before that 10 minute mark every time 😂 Was too awake the other night and was that interested in the parts I had never heard before that it took me half hour to fall asleep that time 😂 Love it, works so well

I started listening in 2012 before my wedding. I was stressed finishing school, basketball season at my community college, planning a wedding and planning to move to a new state on our own for the first time. This helped me get through the wide awake nights. Got my husband to listen and he started asking for me to play it on restless nights. We still revisit it but this last year we finally transitioned to listening to Joe Rogan Podcasts regularly in bed but I still drop by here regularly!

I've been listening to this for so many years now that it feels nostalgic whenever I come back to listen it. And even tho it has helped me many times (unfortunately not every time ☹️) I literally gets sad whenever I starts listening to it every few times a year. Because of the fact that nothing has become better for me since the first time I heard it almost a decade ago. And the fact that every year I have this period where I'm completely lost which leaves me with depression and insomnia and back to this video. I remember the first time I listened to this. I was nervous almost anxious because I didn't know what to expect. That was in another place in my life. Another time. Another surrounding. Other people around me. Other worries and stress. Other hopes and dreams. I was more optimistic and ready to take on my life. And unfortunately whenever I revisit this video it makes me so sad about my situation that sometimes I can't concentrate on the video because of the memories of me being in another place in my life. And that is no way saying anything bad about this video. Because it's amazing and has helped me so many times. But it almost leaves me in tears now 😥😥

@kirstybobirsty- thanks for the suggestion - I am doing a voice only version at the moment and it will be in the free app that is in development. This app will have the ability to play a background music track from your music library at the same time. Also, when it is done, I will upload the voice only version to the website too.

So at first, I read the comments and they were saying either "it gives me nightmares!" Or "thanks! Slept very well!" So I decided to be the bigger person and decide for myself instead. I got to sleep fairly quickly thanks to it. But then I got a very disturbing nightmare that woke me up, so... It might be because I read so much talk about nightmares that my brain gave me one? Or this video is crafted in such a way that it gives people nightmares. Neat!

Equius Zahhak I am thinking that falling asleep this way puts your body to sleep while your mind stays active. People who practice lucid dreaming use this technique. It is something I can do pretty much at will just by falling asleep with the intent to do it. Anyway, if you don't have a lot of control over your lucid dreams, which comes with practice, they can turn very dark and terrifying. If you slip into a lucid dreaming state without even knowing what is or wanting to I can imagine would lead to very vivid and terrible nightmares.

Hi Paul, it's so nice to hear your soothing voice again! You and I had several communications a couple years ago and I told you that your voice reminded me much of the psychologist who I used to work with in pain control and from whom I learned biofeedback after developing a staph infection in my spine following back surgery. I did improve my sleep muchly in a very short time when listening to your insomnia video. I could feel myself approaching the happy relaxing state as soon as the bubbles started! I fell and fractured a lumbar vertebra last year, then developed 4 huge kidney stones right after that, so have had 3 surgeries for that since May. Inactivity caused me to regain 30# that I had just lost, so i will now start listening to your weight loss tape as well. Thank you again for making yourself available to us for free! I am now widowed and living on a fixed income. You are a true blessing and the fact that you share your talents so generously is much appreciated. I used to give my time and talents when I was a nurse too. I guess some of us just naturally do that. Its good!!! Thanks again, Paul. Hugs to you!

I first discovered this video 3 years ago when I suffered from an episode after having an allergic reaction to antibiotics I was prescribed. I was desperate to sleep and this video had me knocked out in like 15 minutes. I have since used it sporadically over the past couple of years and more recently as I'm struggling with anxiety and panic disorder. My husband also uses it from time to time to fall asleep. It works wonders! Thanks, Paul!
