Easy is subjective.😢 On the bright side, I’ll be way more advanced than my CS peers in my final year next year. We'll have to create an app/website for our final project, but I hope I'm skilled enough by then, been sweating hard over the past few months.

I’m trying to create a website for my school because many students prefer buying second-hand books from older students rather than purchasing new ones. The website will have three types of users: sellers, buyers, and an admin (myself). Sellers can list books for sale, while buyers can purchase them, with options for delivery to their homes. Buyers will be able to choose payment methods like cash on delivery or online payment, and users can rate and review both sellers and their books. As the admin, I’ll be able to manage everything on the platform. I know this is a big project, but I’m a huge fan of your work, and I really admire the way you explain and teach coding. It would mean the world to me if you could create this project before 2025. Thank you for everything you do-I’d be so happy if you could make this happen!

This is a great Tutorial, my only complaint is that it is very out of date. Many of the components in Chakra-ui which are used in this video are no longer supported which makes it very difficult to actually follow the tutorial. It would be useful to add some new footage instructing people what versions of the NPM modules to use to avoid all of these headaches. I had to copy your package.json and do `npm i` to get my app into a useable state.

Hey all coders / devs / intelligent peoples! - I've been following along with this video for the first project and been coding along as a way to understand and get better at coding. I'm running the npm run dev. nodemon connects to the mongodb server but I keep getting an "Error: bad auth : authentication failed" before a red "[nodemon] app crashed - waiting for file changes before starting" I would really appreciate if someone could A) either explain to me what's happening here or B) help me understand if there's a mistake in my code. (I've gone through the code for a few hours and re-did parts of the code with the video again only to find the same error.) I'm a newbie and just need to some guidance to get on my feet here. Appreciate the video so much - this is such a cool way for newbies to learn, and I'm very grateful for this being here! (Time marker for where I'm stuck at is 15:23)

This course has not been a smooth sailing not because of the instructor he is great so far but the change of chakra ui 3 and some version changes in React and Vite are making a simple thing into a 20 minutes deep dive into the documentation just for an example the gradient syntax has been changed in chakra 3 and it caused me a head ache why to figure out why my text was not showing

@@gneves-w7r yes after reading the documents of chakra ui they a migration section where the gradient syntax has been changed this is how i did it => {i used this hook for colormode const { colorMode, toggleColorMode } = useColorMode(); from this chakra ui component import { useColorMode } from "./ui/color-mode"; and this is how my button for toggling the theme became {colorMode === "light" ? ( ) : ( )} } don't worry about the clight and mdDarkmode they are just icons from react icons website . I hope this helps :)

If you are still getting the `IP Whitelisting Error` even after whitelisting: Always use a stable version of NPM to run the code. If you are using anything other than NPM (bun, yarn, etc), use NPM.

2:09:20 if you are ussing Window and you get this error: ""NODE_ENV" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." try with this: npm install cross-env --save-dev Then, change your package.json to look like this: "scripts": { "dev": "cross-env NODE_ENV=development nodemon backend/server.js", "build": "npm instal && npm install --prefix frontend && npm run build --prefix frontend", "start": "cross-env NODE_ENV=production node backend/server.js" }, This worked for me, and I hope it works for you too.
