May 27th 2012. A jumping chute was set up and the horse is encouraged to go through it. Here's Cody checking it out. This was filmed using two cameras, so most jumps you see twice; once from the side and once head on.
Technical Video Details: Panned side shots using Panasonic HDC-TM90. Static head on video using Canon S95

I see what they are trying to do but there are WAY too many people telling this horse what to do. I train horses myself so i can say i know what im doing. But this poor boy is half the time doing these jumps because hes scared of the pressure being out on him via whips. They need to have one person telling him what to do and reward him personally any time he does something good. Not saying they are abusing him. But i can see why he doesnt listen half the time because hes confused on what they are asking because of all the people . JUST MY OPINION PEOPLE dont get all offended. still is a very pretty horse and arena i will say.

Lovely horse but help him out by putting the correct distance between the jumps. One stride is too short for him and a bounce is too long teaching him to jump long and flat, no use for showjumping. This is not a negitive comment, its a tip. Any real horseman would appreaciate some help and be willing to learn for there animals sake.

@@kaydenguinn8163 lol that comment was 4 years ago, and I have much more knowledge and still don’t change my mind. If you don’t help your horse adjust their stride and make it comfortable for them how do you expect them to take a liking to jumping?

at the 1.46 mark the horse is telling the people that the jumps are way to close together. please learn about body language and you don't need that many people trying to make the horse jump those jumps. The people in the video need to do more ground work with all the horses that they are trying to get to jump these jumps. Non of these horses in any of the videos have an respect for anyone in this video.

Krystal R-S There was no way that horse could have jumped that. I'm pretty sure you're meant to have at least one stride between jumps so the horse can get balanced and ready to jump again.

Krystal R-S The jumps look to high as well. He's getting tired and slowing down but the jumps keep getting bigger.

Krystal R-S Also I'm pretty sure when you jump horses they need to be wearing boots or wraps. He keeps not knocking the jump which could damage his legs.

@@theprancingpony6075 have you not heard of bounces? They don’t have ANY striding in between, aka the landing for the previous jump is the take off for the next jump. Also course designers for show jumping/hunter will put weird striding to some jumps, to challenge both the rider and horse.

He was getting tired near the end look like. He started striking the poles. Also, he seemed distracted slightly by the dog, but not so much by the people. Possibly that prey instinct thing going on. But, he's definitely a good jumper and looks beautiful doing it.

You guys should slowly take out one barrier at a time each session till eventually you don’t need a barrier. Great job I know a lot of people complain about striding but I understand you do it to help at shows

the two close jumps are to close!! please move them out. i do agree that it helps muscle and all that jazz but they are to close so it can cause kissing spines, and its not as cute as it sounds. ( trust me )!!

They clearly know what they are doing and they are multiple most likely trainers there. The reason for the chute is to help give horses confidence to go over jumps. This horse seems green (not sure if he really was at this time.) or he is just out of practice. They aren't in the wrong at all. Please consider that.
