FREE MOD??... Bmw x1 M-Sport xdrive35i exhaust flapper modification.

First time bmw owner... so go easy on any hate comments about the "mod" lol. Just trying out what i've read on the forums about the exhaust flapper being left on open at all times. NOT A PERMANENT thing. Not a great difference so far from what i've heard. But will be doing a test drive video this weekend.

bro after watching this vid I immediately did the exact same thing and it wasn’t much a difference. however, if you cut the pipe just a little bit you’ll get the sound you’re looking for

i have this car 2014X1 35i, AWD, it's the M sport equipped, fully loaded, msrp almost 50,000 dollars, as of today 2/4/23 just turned 46,000 miles....any advise to clear up plastic headlights. someone told me to rub lemons on them.....Other than that issue i have a cherry..... Reply

Just a little tip, inside the trunk where you disconnected the vacuum line, that little black plastic module is the vacuum module itself. You can just disconnect the electrical connector to it, and it won't try and pull a vacuum. Possibly saving it from failing. I see you plugged yours up, but many people just leave it open to suck in whatever dust and particles get back there.

@@JonSantiagoRAW I do. a 2014 X-Line, with a 35i like yours. A few bolt-ons, JB4. Retrofitted the nicer 2015+ X-Line front lip.

I think I located it on my x1. It’s in the driver side bucket? My 335 is cut and dry. Are there images/tutorials on pulling the x1 connector?

@@essray I don't have any on hand. But yes, driver side under the siding/carpet. I may have even used the square pop out for access, can't remember right now. It will be the only module in there with both, a simple electrical connector and, a vacuum line coming from it.

Hey Neil hows it going!? Not a WOW HUGE DIFFERENCE lol, but i do notice a more deeper tone when normal everyday driving, and specially at start up. Since both tips are now open, the sound is more prominent for sure 👍🏾👍🏾

@@JonSantiagoRAW Hi Jon,sorry for confusion,I mean the flap in the exhaust started rattling specially during cold start thus the reason I made the golf t mods,afterwards no more issue on the ratting.
