That widebody and 1.8 diesel under the hood? I think that making an X1 looking like BMW M series while having such an small engine is not a smart choice. But I'll be honest, this project looks very fresh and clean and what's important owner do love his car so maybe it's not that bad. Best wishes from Poland.

Władysław Pieluch well it is not that small. It must be a 18d which is a turbocharged 2.0 l . And at 215PS as it claims is not bad. Normally you would get 180PS only by ECu tuning. But a gasoline engine would've been nicer

Inox1ck, I agree with you my friend, but I still think that making an SUV with pretty small diesel engine looking like sports car isn't very clever in my opinion. A friend of mine has the same BMW with 2.0 diesel engine and I need to tell you that this car just can't be called a sports car. Diesel powered cars are made to be cheaper to use, not to be a sports cars.

Not sure about others but me personally I trade in every 2-3 years for a new car regardless of the brand I get. My cars are paid off so it just makes financial sense. I don't have any payments so every couple of years drop a few thousand bucks and get a new car. Way smarter then doing thousands in payments for years and keeping it until it loses to much value imo.

I know why lol, the original electrical components will need replacing with better aftermarket parts. The seals and gaskets are cheap, so plan on replacing. Minus those tedious tasks, this particular platform is actually pretty awesome. Bought mine new in 2014, and still have it 90k miles.

Sdrive is front wheel not rear wheel drive

It's real wheel drive in this variant of the X1. Only the latest ones have a FWD architecture
