Nice walk in the forest, good to see its being managed. I am on my way out to cut dead ash in the forest that surrounds our house. So many dead ash I see no need to cut any live trees. GNI 😊

Same everywhere here ...dead ash all over the place...great firewood that will all be gone soon!

It is not understood how much disease is in our forests. Thanks for showing how dark forest floors are bad. Thinning is necessary 👍👍👍

There's a lot of work involved when managing our woods! I'm out every day in mine, there is always honeysuckle, wild roses, box elder among other things... good thing I'm retired. It's nice to have a new best friend like logger Jason.
@thefirewooddoctor3 сағат бұрын
@kenthorsen4558 if I had 20 acres of woods, I'd be managing the woods full-time. So technically, I wouldn't be "retired".

He’s so smooth operating the porter. Some operate for years and still look like they just got ahold of the controls. 👍 He needs a micro log trailer to slip into some of those soon to be wet areas to pick up after he cuts the dead trees down. I’m thinking of buying one for my 40 acres that needs similar done to it.

Jason would do very well in a grapple operation contest. He sure knows what he is doing. 😊

That is a heavy load. That wood is heavy. Nice walk through the woods. I might try to thin out my canopy in the woods I have.

Good morning Chris,Great video with Logger Jason. Nice piece of property with many kinds of trees. I didn’t think beech grew that far north in central Wisconsin. Your brother Kenny don’t get beech up in his area does he? I’m always curious about different trees. Where they grow and characteristics of each species. I wish we would have a few more species that grew here in northern Minnesota. Like Cherry and hickory. I have talked to a number of tree service guys, and they haven’t run across cherry or hickory up in northern Minnesota either. Jason has a pretty big project going on there. Have a great weekend.

Looks like Jason needs a crew of 5 men and a couple more machines to get this job done sooner than later to make it all profitable. Doing it this way says he either doesn’t need the money, or is just doing it as a hobby.
