Free Pattern: Adorable Quilted Diamond Christmas Stocking

Stacey, diamonds are so beautiful in quilts/projects. Your choice of fabrics is inspired as is this project. I have one tip for you. When making strip sets that will be cut on an angle, offset each strip by the strip width to optimize favorite use. The edge quilting of the diamond really makes it pop. Strikes me too, that these would make perfect way to tuck a wine bottle or other stuff to take as hostess gifts to holiday parties.

Thank you, Stacey, for teaching me how turn parallel rows into a diamond pattern. I appreciate you being careful not to waste fabric. I especially like hearing, ”Now this is a little fiddly..” When I observe a professional seamstress slowing down to wrangle layers of fabric under a presser foot I feel kinship with my sewing sisters. My self doubt fades away. Wrangling fabric and having to stop to pull that top thread back is part of the process. Adorable stockings! Thank you for the pattern (and modeling how to assemble it!) I’m thankful for your teaching superpowers.
