Thanks! I had an extra top end in stock here but it appears she might need more than that.

The bottom may be good moves a little after you pried up the cylinder. Need a second set of hands, hammer the piston down while pulling on the cylinder.
@rockspowersports19 сағат бұрын
Yeah, I figured I’d let it soak for a while then try it again.

@ i am usually good and patient with rusty hardware, when rust is holding it together its a different story. In the real world are either of them worth fixing? Maybe parts ebay could be your best friend!

I love 2 strokes All my snowmobile's except 2 were 2 strokes the 4 strokes were heavy mind you they were reliable but more maintenance. Most Two strokes you can d*** near rebuild them in an hour They have way more get up and go especially nice in the mountains.

The shift fork in the Xplorer transmission is probably the issue. Remove it and weld up the wear on the fork and reinstall.

No luck for you! 2 bad 250's in a row! I like these as much as anyone, but ugh!! so much effort, get working on one of the better machines! outlander 800, Scrambler, one of the Grizzly's, bring it back to life and do a ripping test ride in the snow! What happened to the snowmobile video you posted, it disappeared!

Which snowmobile video? Nothing should have been deleted.

My front sprocket is slipping on my 2000 250 explorer. Is that a gear inside the housing? When I get on a bind or on a hill it makes a sound like the teeth have ground off a gear and slips inside that housing and won't turn the front sprocket, is that a part I can still get or is it insanely expensive?
@rockspowersports15 сағат бұрын
Is your front sprocket actually slipping or is that spinning but your wheels are not spinning? If the sprocket is spinning like it should and your tires are slipping you probably have an issue with your Hilliard clutch inside you wheel hub.
@rockspowersports15 сағат бұрын
Oh I just re read your post and you said a 2000 so it must be shaft driven up front. So you mean your front front sprocket attached to the trans that drives your rear wheels?
@nathandewittmusic327215 сағат бұрын
@@rockspowersports it's definitely inside the hub, thank you, I will look that up, by the way great content, I appreciate the answer.

If you can get these older quads for cheap then you can make a little money off them as parts
@djodjodubois94584 сағат бұрын
Do you want cheap parts? I have 3 engines, a complete quad from the same year and 3 wing kits. 2 gas cylinders from 90-92 4x4 trail boss. Functional engines. I'm tired of 2-strokes.Not reliable enough when you drive alone..I'm looking for a 4-t...I'm staying in Beauce in Quebec
