Neither the tortilla chips were invented in LA, the so called inventor was a from Mexico, and later live in LA. Maybe she was the first person to market them in USA, but was and always had been a traditional way to eat tortillas that for some reason are not use as tortilla. The idea came from Tostadas and Totopos born from native Mexican tribes

Sorry but you got it wrong tortilla chips are a Mexican recipe therefore we have chilaquiles that have tortilla chips as main ingredients so I recommend you to further investigate a little more. Love your programs
