I agree with you but I've never owned any other small CC two-stroke so I'm not sure if that's normal or abnormal.

QUADNATION 929 it’s abnormal the piston is actually hitting the sides of the cylinder all it needs is a top end rebuild
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
@@damoncatlin734 🤔🤔 hummm, I bought it from a person that had it rebuilt at a shop and when unloaded it at my house I pulled the spark plug took a flashlight and looked at the top of the piston and it was shiny and new indicating that the top end was in fact brand new so perhaps they did something wrong during the rebuild. I was thinking if anything the lower crank bearing was going which would cause slap in the piston rod. But I've never tore down an engine that had that kind of noise so I'm not really sure what it could be. Any body else have any suggestions?

This bike is a 2007 which I bought used. The typically asking price for these bikes is about $1,400 to $1,700 But this one was advertised to have a blown motor and was listed for $650. Anytime you buy a bike with a blown motor it's a huge gamble. You could come out on top if it's a simple fix or you could come out on bottom if you have to do a complete engine rebuild. In my case I came out on top as all it needed was a new spark plug and the fuel needed to be turned on.

@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
@@brodyriekofsky844 That's actually great observation and I'm glad you brought that up just in case anybody else heard or noticed the same thing and is wondering why I was doing that. So what you observed was something called power shifting. Power shifting is where you do not let go of the throttle while shifting. During power shifting you'll quickly shift as fast as you can by pulling in the clutch and shifting the gear while at the same time never releasing the throttle. What it does is it, for a split second, allows the engine to free rev in between the gears so that when it does shift to the next gear it hits the next gear hard and gives it a slight boost as its engaging the next gear. Yes it will cause extra wear and tear on the clutch but If you're racing to the extreme level then it will give you an advantage compared to not power shifting.

Both of them are mine. I originally bought the KTM 65 for my son and later decided to buy him the Apollo 125. The plan is to get a few more videos of the KTM 65 and then I'm going to sell it for another dirt bike or quad.

I can not believe that Apollo was in the same zip code as that KTM! WOW! How much for the KTM? Maintenance for a season?$$$$$ Yes, the KTM is obviously a real bike, but I’m still shocked it even stuck with you a little bit Cool video. I liked it a lot. Thanks.
@kacperburzak16104 жыл бұрын
Did you count the teeth the Ktm might have more at front then the Apollo
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
No and that's a good point! Also something I forgot to mention in the video is the Apollo is a four-speed and the KTM is a six-speed so that definitely makes the difference.

Is the apollo a true 125? Read its not
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
It's dubbed a 125 but you're right most engines are slightly off of there given title. For example my Raptor 700 is actually a 686 cc.
@themotovloger95454 жыл бұрын
the thing is is the sprockets the same on both of them front and rear youll have to make sure and if not change on of them to match the other then race again

So you even up the riders weights . What’s the bikes weight on each that may be a determining factor . I’m sure that Harbor freight bike isn’t at the ktm’s weight . Plus if that 125 has been rung out like this all the time do a valve adjustment to give the 125 it’s full potential of power .
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
You have some valid points. As far as the weight of the bikes I'm not sure the difference there but this was more so of an example if someone were to line these two bikes up what to expect with different rider weights. Also the Apollo's valves are within spec as I do all my maintenance. Now it could have certainly benefited from a carb upgrade and exhaust.

I encourage all to skip to 5:45 if you're just wanting to see a race between two bikes, however, to get a good understanding of exactly how we made this race as fair as possible you'll need to see the first 5 minutes 👍
