I could never get enough of this song back in 1984. The year breakdancing was big in Australia and all we did at high school was dance & listen to the tunes like this one. Was 80's the best? Well I say so however anyone will say a decade was the best when they were young. Its the care free years. The years Mum & Dad looked after us in every way. A teen in the 50's will say the same. A teen in the 60's will say the same. My kids today say 2000's were the best decade. For me those decades were 70's - 90's. The music, movies, fashion etc. Also because I was young. It will be a never ending argument as to which decade was the best however I will say that anything pre internet & smart phone was the truly best decades. Kids today will never understand what life was like without those 2 items.

Did you have a BMX back then? My family couldn't afford expensive trainers back then. So now that I can as an old(er) man, I've got a massive collection of 100 pairs that I just look at but never wear. I'm sure it's because it was an itch I couldn't scratch as a 13/14 year old in the early 80's. So I'm wondering if it was the same for you with BMX bikes?

I had 2 BMX's, one was the 2nd most expensive bike in the shop at the time - £111. 😂😂😂 The second I built up from F&F set and cost £300, a lot of money for a bike in 84. I still have my bikes, still unridden.

Then she said he'd asked the bloke in the shop where they bought it: "have they made this out of gold thread or something?"

George Power were his mentor and he started Nice ‘n’ Ripe.. This is not the 7" Version from '83. This is actually the "Club Vocal" version from '87, listed as a John Rocca Solo release (he was part of Freeez). Freaking lovely!

Thank you much!! Immediately bought the record after reading your comment (I already own the Freeez version in both 7" and 12").

This takes me back to dancing all night at Roseland & The Funhouse in NYC. Late 70's & 80s era are unmatched.

As a 15 year old . I fell in love with the SH 101 synthesiser. I saved up and bought one a year later second hand. Thanks to this video and song being a hit in Australia. Good times.
