@anastaciazara17872 жыл бұрын
@@KateeAngel That's not really true. Half of women are effectively infertile at 40.5yo, which makes sense because the average age of menopause is 51yo and most women become effectively infertile 10 years before entering menopause. I don't think that it was historically common for women to continue to conceive all the way up until menopause. Historically, the average age of last pregnancy was around 38-40yo, with very few births occurring after 42-43yo. By 45, pretty much all women are effectively infertile. There are exceptions, but they are rare. She was vegan before Harley, but he is such an extremist and I definitely feel like he made her into the type of "vegan influencer" she is now. The views come with the controversy. What I still cannot understand is why Freelee hates on certain vegans (e.g. Swayze) - I thought her whole thing was to convert people to the vegan lifestyle. So what if they aren't raw fruit vegan? No animals are harmed either way

hard to say. some people just have obsessive tendencies somehow ingrained in their personality and character.

@@apostrophe.t It is because Freelee has a very insecure, petty personality... she is not consistent at all. A "real" vegan (sorry for the terrible phrasing, stealing it from her vocabulary to make a point) would put personal issues aside and put her "ethics" above such petty thing as "oh no Swayze critiqued my diet, now i have to attack her the rest of my life, at all cost". it is very high school, infantile behaviour... And no, she doesn't care one bit about the babies, she only cares about her skinniness and her online persona. it is sickening. and kind of sad, too. she is a very fragile human being...both mentally and physically. people like this have no role in "educating" parents how to parent. She has absolutely no clue and is stuck in her obsessive eating disorder. STAY. FAR. AWAY.

When you said « what’s wrong with this ? » about Freelee’s « before » picture, I cannot agree more with you. The implication could easily trigger someone who has an eating disorder, or could even plant a seed in the head of someone who has a healthy weight, the seed being the little voice that says « you’re not good enough. Not slim enough. » I think she looks almost underweight in her second picture. Being underweight is not healthy and shouldn’t be a goal to achieve.

I really think a lot of these girls just look at their body and see how thin they are and that they have abs so they automatically assume what they’re doing is healthy. Unfortunately they’re going to find out eventually that they have done major damage to parts of their body that will never recover.

I like fruit, but there's a limit. I couldn't eat just fruit all day every day. It's boring for one thing. No more veggie sausages or pasta. You can't have pizza or chips. Or even like the leek and potato soup with a crusty bread roll I had for lunch. For most people, that's a tasty, healthy meal. Maybe not if it's the BBC good food recipe that calls for an entire pot of cream. But my one that has lentils, leeks, potatoes and onion is pretty healthy.

I'm pregnant with my first baby and started incorporating new plant based or vegan foods to help my pregnancy and support my baby's development, especially lentils and beans in place of chicken. If I was exposed to the raw food vegan diet or fruitarian diet before learning about reductionism and a variety of vegan options, I would have just given up trying at all. I would have thought I could never do any vegan changes because it was too restrictive, so I'm so glad I learned about all the plant based options

Usually when people have a gene problem with B vitamins, it’s called MTHFR gene expression. It means that you have to take methylated B12 and folate, and you can get very ill from taking regular B12. And then you have to make sure that all your other B vitamins are without regular B12 and folate. There’s a supplement called B minus which has all the vitamins minus the ones that the genes can’t Change into the methylation version, because genes are what create enzymes so it’s actually a deficiency in the enzyme. This would also mean that it’s very dangerous to take in grains or other foods that are enriched with B vitamins.

lmao, as a pregnant type 1 diabetic, I haven't eaten much fruits in months. Pregnancy hormones make my blood glucose go up and down like crazy, adding fruits to this (or anything carby really) would be just a disaster and result in an obese baby and other complications. And then there are all the women who develop insulin resistance and thus gestational diabetes because of pregnancy, none of them should be eating any fruits. Pregnancy is already a natural state of insulin resistance, no need to add these extreme amounts of fructose to it 🤦🏻♀️

Anecdotally, I have firsthand experience of nausea as a potential confounding variable that links caffeine and miscarriage (like Emily Oster describes). My first pregnancy, I had no nausea and craved coffee constantly after cutting down to safe levels, and the pregnancy stopped developing around 8 weeks. My second pregnancy, there were entire weeks where I couldn’t stomach coffee, and now I have a healthy 8 month old. I don’t think the coffee itself was harmful, but for me, feeling well enough for coffee was a bad sign.
@AimeeColeman2 жыл бұрын
I suppose in a way it could make sense that your hormones are the third factor - hormone profile can affect caffeine craving (I know personally I have a period coming up when I totally go off coffee), as well as obviously affecting nausea and pregnancy. Obviously I don't have any studies at hand or know if they're actually linked, but it sounds quite reasonable.
@ByeByeBelly2 жыл бұрын
Oh I'm sorry. Lack of nausea can occasionally be because the hormones weren't very high like they should be (if you are prone to pregnancy nausea)

It's almost like she doesn't care about the animals, which is what this is all actually about, and instead cares more about looking down on other's diets, even though we are supposedly fighting the same fight. She is definitely plant-based and not vegan, as it seems she is only doing this for her own "benefit" (which she won't have much of from her crappy diet). A vegan who survives on ultra-processed food is just as vegan as one who only eats healthy whole foods, as it's not about about that, irregardless of which is healthier.
