Interesting how you weighed up your options on where to place your capital. (Pros/Cons). This game never fails to entertain me

Man I feel like pink let their advantage slip when they took the scandie pocket versus card blocking instead. Especially so when you went whole hog into the noob pocket once you realized how close they accidentally got to the block. Totally grudge match at the end but a great game!

Never opening the magenta player's cap line is very clever. Happy new year from Germany!

Magenta went into the 1v1 ahead. How should they close it out? Given where blue's cap was, you're difficult to card block. Is it just take as much board as possible without opening caps?
@FreePete10 ай бұрын
With 1v1s you want to break your opponents bonuses, reduce the amount of territory they control as much as possible, keep their caps locked, steal them when you can, and drain their troop count futher via card blocking.

Big fan of your content. Learned a lot watching your vids. Just wondering what the difference is, content wise, between this channel and the main channel?
@FreePete10 ай бұрын
With the main channel the goal is to try and make the show that you guys want to watch. The yt algorithm is sensitive and I don't want to risk putting out content that won't be well recieved because it hurts content that could be. With FreePete I still want a place that's for me and I can experiment and post whatever I feel like. This way it doesn't feel like a job and I still get to explore things creatively (some of which don't work and aren't enjoyed by the audience). For me I think it's important to have both so that I don't burn out

Pete I’m wondering your thoughts on the advantages of being a streamer for longer games like this one. At some point normal people have a life to get to, so they have a set amount of time to play the game. Whereas you are a streamer so you don’t necessarily have those time constraints with it being your job. I guess another question is for you, while boring, wouldn’t it make more sense to try to stall out every game you play in order to get others to quit and you can clean up a bot board? It would be a terrible way to play. But I think streams have a small but great advantage in how long of a game they are willing to play vs someone winding down from their 9-5 job.

Streamers are playing to an audience - if all of their games are boring grind fests then they start to lose that. People watch them because they are good and know how to progress the game, not because they stack on cap to bore out a win

Also (for me at least) the point of playing is to have fun. Winning helps with that, but I don't care enough to do it by all means necessary. If I feel a game is going to something like a three player stalemate I'll target one player and see if the others get the hint to help a bit. I'm happy enough to go into a 1v1 with a slight disadvantage rather than snore to a 2 hour win

what a battle at the end there!! is magenta actually intermediate though? I feel like he’s way better. maybe this is an alt account? idk man but feels like experts and masters don’t give pete the hard time this guy did
