This must be the best small boat sailing footage ever recorded anywhere. Lovely how you make us feel like we're also on board. What a privilege. Thanks!

Ditto Smokey Ribs...If you love sailing, watch "Free Range Sailing". So nice to see you two smiling more than ever. Thats what sailing does for Real Sailors. Looking forward to many more Smiles and Smiles of Free Range Sailing.
Love how the VHF with all the bells and whistles is a few inches from Troy's face when sleeping.,. EVERYTHING on Mirool is so well considered.

Fantastic stuff. Thanks for making this video. I love watching your stuff because it’s one of the few channels where I don’t need to watch people who don’t know how to sail learn through the school of hard-knocks. Those are entertaining, but this is truly enjoyable!

Thank you, a channel that actually has real sailing, I watch a lot of other channels but they are more about drama, food or exploring on land, great to see some actual sailing, very well presented vids.

Absolutely great sailing! The Stay-Sail and Head-Sail configuration still looked beautiful. And, I love the colors of your spinnaker! All the way from San Francisco, California and I'm so happy and proud for both of you as you really are pure sailing joy to watch! And, while watching, I was actually a tad bit jealous I was not sailing along beside you in a buddy boat. That is what I call an EPIC SAIL from Tazzy to Mainland! Anxiously awaiting your cruise across the bight!!!

Love that SH 2200. I have the same radio and it got me a cross the English channel last September in thick fog. Like you say, it gives s great sense of security to be able to see other traffic. It prompted me to fit a full AIS system over the (UK) winter. Now I can be seen as well as see 👍

Pascale your momentary confusion regarding the 'underground' rather than underfloor fuel bunker made me smile because it reminded me of an old episode of a BBC radio feature titled 'The Goon Show'. I remember the bizarrely silly program starred Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan, Harry Secombe (what a beautiful singing voice he had) and John Cleese. In it, the Goons were sailing a castle across the English channel when one of them heard a rumor about buried treasure in the dungeon and decided to dig for it...😁

Awesome, no other words work. We have the same radio, and our spare is its predecessor. One great aspect is you can call the ais target vessel directly using a dsc call. The bad part is many folks down here don't know what a dsc call looks like. My mate was going to get the techo in because his radio was making funny noises.
