First of all, youre sick and I like your style and comfort on the board. Second of all here I am lugging a street board around dabbling in freestyle tricks. I need one of those sweet tiny boards so bad. Just a simple casper to casper seems daunting. If the tip of the board lands on my toe it game over.

Just learning how to do caspers, this has been super freaking helpful.
@_Maxten4 жыл бұрын
There were a lot of things I did wrong. for one thing, I always thought my feet had to be symmetrical with the board. Like my entire front foot had to be tucked in perfectly & strictly in the middle, + my backfoot had to line up vertical with the tail. I think I had incorrect angles in general, like how much/where you lean with your body/shoulders, etc. but I think my main issue was relying on one foot. I focus on the scoop of the backfoot only. this is why I'm more likely to land the "fake casper" with both feet on the ground like a Tre but can't like a shuv. When I try a switch casper I don't even really use my backfoot at all and I think this is because when switch, my frontfoot = the same backfoot i rely on when regular. I'll probably end up rewatching this video multiple times. thanks

I'm goofy footed and use my front foot to scoop. I can do it fine but for a single kick I have to do a shuv or something to put it into position. (Edit) I do railstands backwards too

My Caspers are improving thanks to this video! I’m getting used to my front foot not touching the ground, but is it okay if my back heel touches the ground? Or should the goal be to get my entire back foot on the tail?

I can flop to casper and impossible out maybe 2 out of 10 tries, but it really hurts the top of my feet on those fail attempts and is hard to get the balance right. Is the feet hurting a technique problem or is that normal and will go away when I get better at softly catching and balancing? I almost feel like I need puffier shoes or reinforced toes cuz my suede half cabs aren't cutting it

Are nose caspers / anti-caspers a thing? I can do one while rolling and that momentum rolling forward helps to get a good flip back to the grip. Ive just never seen anyone else do it before.
@mike_osterman13 жыл бұрын
Hey, that’s definitely a way to do it! I learned them Fakie and on the tail but I know a lot of people who Casper on their noses. From what I understand, an anti-Casper is actually an Ollie-1/2 impossible to nose Casper 💪 everything else (whether on the nose or tail) is just a Casper
@matthewayres11043 жыл бұрын
@@mike_osterman1 good to know. I definitely can’t impossible into a nose Casper... yet haha. Thanks for the quick reply!

Do you have any tips for going casper to rail, or landing in rail in general because I also really want to learn a rail flip that goes back into rail and I'm having troubles?
@mike_osterman14 жыл бұрын
Yeah! Our buddy Jacob has been working on those a lot. Besides riding freestyle wheels, I’d recommend playing with the position of your “top foot”, angling your toes inward. I can help more if I see a clip of your attempts

Freestyle boards are usually a bit smaller than your average pool board. They’re also a bit tighter. Both tend to make them less useful in pools
