Of all the air roll aerials/freestyle tutorials out there, you are the FIRST person to state that the way you control the direction of your aerials is with your BOOST. Holy shit. He rebound his air-roll/drift key to R2, I think. It's defaulted to a rather inconvenient key (can't remember which). The air-roll key is the same as your drift key when driving around, but then in the air.

Finally a nice and straight to the point tutorial video with no bs and absolutely good information. subpar's newest tutorial video is laughably ridiculous. I mean the whole message was, "your car flips the same direction as your thumb stick is placed at the time of your second jump, even upside down or backwards!" And it took 15 minutes to "explain" it all. What a joke, it's not like we are brand new players, and they're not the target audience.

Hey Sir Timbers. I'm still learning aerials and still have quite a bit of difficulty hitting the ball where I want to. I've avoided this tutorial since it came out up until now because the topic is for more advanced players but having watched it now I noticed you mentioned multiple times that practicing freestyles can help learn to control how the car behaves in the air. Should I invest time into attempting this or do you think it would mess up my regular aerials and confuse me even more? Otherwise the other videos have been very informative so far and I'm looking forward to the wall aerials video!

Great video, it's nice to watch something that's well edited, and recorded with a good mic :D My question is around the 'klux' twist. You mention that you should jump and angle the car in 'a' direction, and then air roll. From trying this out it seems the direction of the air roll is important as you essentially need to air roll the opposite direction from the angle you started the jump. Have I misinterpreted this? Cheers again.

Late response to you, but yeah, you're correct. If you angle your car so it is facing up and toward the left, you would then hold air roll and the thumbstick down and to the right to do a kux twist.
