Questioning someone’s sexuality privately. Someone you are planning to marry and spend the rest of your life with was not wrong. If she was concerned she had the right to bring it up and address it. She was wrong to not just bring it to him but to tell her friends. That part was nasty.

Brett understands struggle. He also observed his father lovingly deal with his wife's mental struggles and remained beside her. That's what shaped him. He had the most important person in his life demonstrate unconditional love. We NEEDED to hear more from Brett and Tiffany during the reunion.
@malyss3
@malyss3 Жыл бұрын
Agreed! I feel like many could learn from their success in this experience. Especially, Brett! That's where the story really should have been focused, right? Tiffany can totally guide women who are her age and have to wait for their person. I know how she must have felt before she found gold. Brett definitely landed gold as well. Seems Tiffany is a gem. They're so sweet.
@Tasha8626
@Tasha8626 Жыл бұрын
Exactly!! That’s a TRUE example of unconditional love we do not see. Especially within the black community demonstrated in this day and age on daytime television. I honestly think that’s part of the reason they didn’t want to focus on Brett and Tiffany during the reunion. It didn’t fit the narrative of struggle love.

How come if the roles were reversed and a woman in a relationship with a man and she attempts to make her boyfriend better people mostly would not tell her or caution her that it can be condescending for her to do that but they tell men or caution men that trying to make their girlfriend better can come off as condescending?

I think the best thing is that no one give a platform to Jackie at this point. She also doesn't seem interested in using other platforms besides her own because on her platform, she gets to control the narrative. I was thinking the same thing but honestly I changed my mind within seconds. She had not only her chance to speak, but also the comfortable chance to speak alone with vanessa without confrontation unlike Marshall had to face at the reunion. She already got more of a chance than she ever deserved. I don’t think we need to hear anything else from her. There's a difference between should and could. I don't think there is anything wrong with what he said, but depending on the mindset of that person, it may come off as pushy. That was a great idea for Nick to challenge Marshall to take some time and think about how he approaches a future conversation like that, but only kids (young children) need to be handled with kid gloves. Jackie is grown. She could have stated her reasons for not wanting to advance if that's what she chose not to do.

@@megansm2 I agree with you. She could definitely communicate that. We don’t know if she did. Maybe that’s not her passion. However, he’s still pushing his beliefs of “could ofs and should ofs” She was literally in the middle of studying to advance when he came into her life, barely knowing her or her struggles, trying to share what she “could be” or “should be” be doing. Nothing wrong with voicing that you want your partner to elevate, however she was already in the middle of elevating to the next step. I think that would be true here except Jackie expressed a desire to be better do things differently. Marshall's mistake was thinking he could help her heal and be her motivation . This is a lesson to everyone who is compassionate and healed. Anyone can talk about who they want to be but few actually do the work

Excellent point. A lot of people pleasers feel the need to constantly fix people that don’t need to or want to be changed. Not everyone has the same goals and values. Also it’s not always the case where they are doing it solely for the other persons best intentions. Sometimes it’s actually to make themselves feel better, or superior, etc. You see this a lot with self-proclaimed nice guys who actually are just operating from a self- serving place. It’s important for people pleasers to unpack the reasons why they feel the need to constantly fix people, bc if left unchecked it can lead them down a path of resentment, self righteousness, or even make them manipulative.

I think her and Josh are a perfect match. The disparity between her and Marshall is too great. She is ghetto and immature and speaks like a teenager from the hood. She was attracted to Josh at the moment when he was disgustingly intoxicated, sloppy, abnoxious and embarrassing. That is what turned her on and made her nipples hard as she says. That says a lot about a person. There is nothing that she could work on to be compatable for Marshall. They are on different levels and different planets.

Nick. WE WANT YOU AS A LOVE IS BLIND REUNION HOST!!!! Someone get the Lacheys outta here. I've never commented on any of your podcasts before, but I need to say my unsollicited piece and command you guys once and for all for the quality of your show. I'm one of the rare listeners/viewers of the podcast from Morocco. I cannot thank you enough, along with the household, for your listening skills, your awareness, your emotional intelligence, your ability to shed light on the right spots and tackle important topics while creating a safe space for your hosts, I truly don't think people realize how much skill, work and talent it takes to do that. Now onto LIB. THANK YOU FOR INVITING MARSHALL FIRST. When everybody was praising Marshall for his emotional intelligence which we can all see clearly and witness, you Nick remained lucid while celebrating that in him to, when you said he is also only human and probably also needs to work on himself and the fact that you two are having this conversation as 2 self-aware men in the 21st century is an amazing thing to see. In the reunion, the only person that wronged people and who actually had an exemplary behavior was SURPRISINGLY and I never thought I would say this, Irina. We can all agree to say she has no excuses and her behavior on the show was totally unappropriate and mean. I still dislike her as a person, but there's only so much you know about a reality TV star I feel like, and what we've seen these past few days is a willingness from her to be honest and upfront and confront her demons ON NATIONAL TELEVISION, which takes a lot. So still not rooting for such a bully, but at least she took accountability for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. And that is because Vanessa Lachey and her poor hosting skills wanted to drift the attention from mean girl number 2, Micah, and prick number 1, Jackie, to Irina, Zack and Bliss, and then to Chealsea and Kwame, when the TEA and the DRAMA in LOVE IS BLIND SEASON 4 REVOLVES AROUND JACKIE, and INCLUDES Micah and Irina. PAUL AND MARSHALL lead with grace, integrity and maturity through all of it. First LOVE IS BLIND season where we can actually agree to say that all the men are somewhat emotionally available and hold themselves accountable for things (we had Cameron obviously on Season 1, true eternal king, Brennon was vulnerable but kinda disappeared in his love story which good for him lol i love the Lemieux couple). We can SEE the love between Chealsea and Kwame even tho it was SO HIGHLY edited ON PURPOSE to make us focus our attention on them instead of on Micah or Jackie. Speaking of a complete MESS... Jackie is just immature, I got nothing else to say. A KID IN A CANDY STORE according to her own words, and those exact words set the tone for the entire fucking show. Clearly, it's an understatement to say she needs to either work on herself, or find someone that will take her shit, which clearly she did in Josh, and good for them may they live happy ever after, BUT LEAVE KING MARSHALL IN PEACE AND SWALLOW YOUR SHADY USELESS RECEIPTS we don't need NONE of that sh!t, you're making 0 points, and as much as the derogatory comment Marshall made is wrong, NOTHING compares to the SH!T she threw at him. Jackie is the one that should take ALL the blame; People say Netflix asked her to not come because she is so wild with her words and unhinged, but I just truly think she's a coward and seeing that all play on screen she said it herself "it's not me" she WON'T take accountability for her actions and WANTS to be the victim and the winner of her own story. So fucking disconnected. I rooted for her the 2 first episodes, felt like her energy matched mine in so many ways but I definitely take that back. This girl needs therapy and I wish that was addressed at the Reunion, Vanessa talking about mental health but avoiding the growth questions???? These 2 women are a joke.
