Every time I hear or see Esplanade, I think of my friend Leon Medica and the band Louisiana La Roux’s beautiful song, “ New Orleans Ladies.” Thanks for this wonderful tour and help bringing back great memories.

Sorry I missed this, Andrew. I've been to the Degas House on Esplanade. Had breakfast there and did the tour. Excellent breakfast and everyone was so nice!

My grandfather left his family in Va in the early 1040’s and went to New Orleans. As best we can find out he worked with the newspaper as an artist and illustrator. He rented a room on Esplanade. Don’t remember the exact number but it had a 2,1 and 7. He name was Raymond Chesson but also went by Ray or Ramon. He left New Orleans and ended up in Las Vegas, working for the newspaper there. He is listed in a book as the top 100 people to help form southern Nevada. Next visit, we were there in 2023 but did not have this information, we will go on a hunt for the building. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.

Rewatching this video, some of the houses are just simply beautiful. We also cheered for our shout out which sent the dog (named Brees, obviously) mad. We like to think he was just joining in the fun.

Enjoy you videos very much, very nostalgic for me. I lived in NOLA for 3 years I'm late 80s. I lived just up from you in the Bayou St John area by Dumaine on the park side of the bayou. I don't remember any New Orleanian saying "you'll " as much as you do. Again, thanks for the videos.

Love your videos. After visiting a few times we've decided to snowbird there from Michigan this winter. Since I watch the videos on TV and follow them with Google Maps on a tablet, I'd appreciate more cross-street and direction information. I've visited every major US city, National Park, and tens of thousands of backroads since retiring and have found nowhere as interesting as New Orleans. When I tell people about the place I always ask them, "Do you like food? Music? History? Art? Multiculturalism? Architecture? Parks? Antiques? " It's so much more than Bourbon Street.

Are there still folks that do the "Jazzfest Triathalon"? Where they bike to Jazzfest, run a lap around the course & then swim across Bayou St. John (avoiding the gator, of course).

You really should re-record this. The way it was cutting out in the beginning was not acceptable. I love your tours but it’s ridiculous to expect somebody to stick with something that was cutting out that much. I really would’ve liked to have heard stuff about the first house but I couldn’t make heads or tails of anything you were saying
