@@azhiker96 thank you and you’re welcome. Some of my videos do have a lot of talking but not like some other KZbinrs . I try to let ya know before or during an intro if there’s lot of dialogue to save people time. I’m gonna do a 3 part series I guess about my shotgun suppressors and other stuff cause it would be 30 min total. I can’t expect 30 min videos to capture everyone’s attention.

I love how it's not ate up with FRP. First shot to last shot is essentially metering the same. 1db isn't even enough to be detectable to the ear. Great job making that buddy !!

This was a weird day and I feel like I cheated the public lol. Normally I’d see a 2db higher first round. That’s still really good though. I think I need to do an updated video and you will like this one I have planned.

Glad you enjoyed it. it generally doesn't go past 128.x but stays within a 5db spread max.

Better get your freeze plugs now while you can , before you have to apply for them register them

I am curious how much of the noise is from the bolt and action? Can you block the gas port so you only measure the suppressed bullet?

So, I have used a couple of volume bodies, on one its been freeze plug pressed in, and the other more of a slip fit, the meter makes me wonder whats working better for me.

Sounds very good and metered very good for a FP Form1, did you clip all and align?
@arm_usa
@arm_usa Жыл бұрын
The clips were alternated every other cone 180deg. Sorta like this , ‘ , ‘ , ‘ , ‘ , ‘ , ‘ First and last plug weren’t clipped When they were all aligned it was slightly louder. Idk why except maybe the plugs stacked too tight with no spacing wasn’t effective. Offsetting them 180 showed a 2db drop over aligning.

@@arm_usa 2 db is alot for just 180 switch aligning every other baffle. Thats how I set up mine in the cad software too. I had no idea it would make such an improvement, and now Im wondering if I should design the entire can to stack & bolt on linear extensions to further reduce noise in a continuous [' , ' , ' , = ' , ' , ' ,= ' , ' , ' ,] fashion.
@arm_usa
@arm_usa Жыл бұрын
Are you thinking like a spacer in between a few cones that has a coaxial setup? I thought about it but never took action in it. Might real gases longer cooling them further helping suppression.

@arm_usa

Hey Clint,they were 180 alternated. So 6,12,6,12 etc. A straight alignment was slightly louder on the meter. Not really noticeable but it was around 1.5-2db louder. I tested this on 2 different days and it was the same results and not a fluke. I’m thinking that the freeze plus being so tightly spaced has something to do with it.

Wow, that's crazy..I wonder if it's cuz we're into a longer design? Someone mentioned a spacer chamber, I'm not sure if there's a difference of 10 plugs opposed to ># of plugs... Do you remember spacing or tip to tip? I put the buds on and it's jus this can sounds really good, has excellent tone, Great Job

@@clintmullins8670 thanks man! when the freeze plugs are stacked the tip to tip is about .335". Thats close. might be too close. It obviously does good but its heavy. I do have a spacer inbetween the last cone and end cap. its about a .500 spacer i believe. I think similar results could be had using 10 plugs and space them out better. Static spacing usually always works with subsonic stuff like this so i'd just space em out equally. having the plugs to close to each other did make the aligned clip worse. spacing them out and less plugs might benefit just the same with less weight!
@clintmullins8670
@clintmullins8670 Жыл бұрын
Wow .335? And I saw below supers are 129db! Excellent! Length has to be helping here! I'm also on board with the static and higher distal. I think 10-12 is the general consensus, but it may allow frp to creep in. Good luck! I hope to see more from you soon
