Good morning. I love your garden. Also thank you for the instructions on the spinach. I started a garden this year and used your video to preserve my spinach. I planted 4 raised beds of spinach because most of my husband’s traditional dishes use spinach. Thanks again and God bless.

wonderful! This is by far the best and easiest method. The spinach stays good for a long time. Glad it was helpful. Isn't it amazing how you can start out with soooo much spinach and it shrinks down to very little?

@@OldSchoolPrepper Yes, that’s why I had to plant so many. 😂 I be harvesting by leaves, and that way, the plants will continue to produce throughout the season.

Girl I want to thank you because all the other videos I was watching on how to preserve spinach did not mention the fact that wilting them in boiling water and then branching actually preserves the enzymes. THANK YOU FOR THE EDUCATION🙏

hi Wise, you are welcome...I was the irritating kid in class that always wanted to know why why why. Knowing why makes us so much smarter in all aspects. I always try ad figure out the questions and answer them in vids which is why mine can be on the long side....I also don't script and I just talk. Thanks for the great video! You addressed EVERY question I had regarding blanching vs fresh. So many videos do not go into enough detail in this regards. I’m like you where I like to experiment. Many people like to freeze fresh but it obviously thaws like mush (gross). I’m trying to discover a way to preserve while maintaining freshness. Maybe flash freeze but that equipment is too expensive.

I've noticed something funny with my carrots. I planted them last fall. They grow all winter since it's our area is a mild winter. Well for some reason all the hot cold this year has the carrots thinking this is year 2 as they are already flowering. Wondering if you can do that in your climate? This will be the second time save seed for me. As for spinach, I can't ever grow it as it's just too dang hot here. I take that back in winter I can but it's just so slow growing. Like you. I don't like canned spinach either. I'll eat it if I have to but I much prefer frozen. And yes, I prefer blanching as well as it stops that breakdown. Especially in okra

i have saved seed from carrots that I SWEAR was year one but I always think I must have missed some carrots from last year (sometimes I don't trust my memory)....this year I had an organic regular old carrot hiding in the back of my fridge. It started to root and I planted it for fun. It is now FLOWERING and (I'm sure) will give me seed. That is weird.

Ppl say we can’t eat spinach after 6 hours cook. Meanwhile me freeze them. Btw I use this method too.
