you can still use this technique... sounds like a vet told you to break the pill in half if you will be doing this regularly then i'd suggest getting a pill cutter. You can also use a knife but the pill seems to fly away and is hard to control. But this will work for today

Great tips and what a handy little unit. Do you travel with a trailer or some other type of hauler? I like to do shirts inside-out in case I clip them from the shoulder -- then you dont get the little shoulder-pooches from the clips! Happy New Year OSP and Mr. OSP! 🎉

I was taught to turn all garments inside out before washing. (1) It prevented darks from fading from the sun. (2) It protected delicate decorations, and such, from being damaged during the washing process. (3) It made things like overalls with pockets dry faster, if the pockets were on the outside. (3) The sun's UV rays sanitized intimate portions of clothing along with towels, washcloths. And they aided with bleaching white bed linens. (I don't remember seeing colored sheets and pillowcases when I was a kid.) FWIW... That's exactly the way I was taught to use clothespins. When doing "clothes washing" for 7 family members, using 1 pin, instead of 2 to hang out washcloths, for example did two things. (1) It saved clothesline space. (2) It reduced the number of clothes pins needed. The clothespin bag could only hold so many pins. (Wonder how many US households have a clothespin bag, these days?) Thanks for sharing. It brought back a lot of memories. I remember when my Mother did laundry in the backyard. She used a washboard and heated water in a castiron washpot. (I still have her washtubs and pot.) After REA brought power lines across out land, she bought a washer with a wringer. One of my chores was to bring water, 1 bucket at a time, from the well to fill the washer and her rinse tubs. She captured rain water in tubs set under the edge of the roof, which was a whole lot easier, when available. Later she had an automatic washer. She never had a dryer. When I'm counting blessings, it includes not having clothes frozen on a clothesline or having to build a fire to wash my dirty drawers. Again, thank you for sharing. God Bless.

right now the water goes down the same sink the water comes into. Where I live the grey water is transferred outside and into a shallow grey water well which feeds the trees/bushes/plants surrounding the house. That said the water comes out of a 1/2 inch hose so one could collect the water and do whatever you want with it.

What is the actual power output? Can it actually reach at least 30 watts from usb C on sunny day ? What do you think , which one is better... JACKERY 40 WATTS OR SUNJACK 40WATTS ? solar panel?
@OldSchoolPrepper
@OldSchoolPrepper 7 күн бұрын
hi Bart, so i'm not an expert in solar power...I've been using all types of solar power for over a decade and have been using SunJack products (and Goal Zero plus other brands) for more than a decade. Output? this is what SunJack says on their webpage: With up to 40 watts of power, the monocrystalline panels sealed with ETFE provide maximum efficiency and UV-ray permeability. The 21V DC5521 port (25.1V open circuit voltage) provides enough charging power for most power stations while the dual USB ports can charge most USB-C (PD30W) and USB-A (18W max) devices. The ETFE construction is highly efficient, with a UV permeability of 95% compared to 80% from standard PET construction..... I have no idea about Jackery. I've never used their products and I don't' think i'd every buy a ready made solar "generator" I have a home made one at home with long lasting deep cycle/lithium batteries (from Costco) and good solar panels so I'm probably not the person to ask. I will say SunJack has been good to me and I still use and buy their products. I have yet to have one fail and I'm using the 25 & 40 watt panels every day over the winter (I live in Mexico in the winter time)... I would also like you to know that SunJack has great customer service, so feel free to email them and ask the questions yourself. they will get back to you.

Aren't scoby and mother different?
@OldSchoolPrepper
@OldSchoolPrepper 9 күн бұрын
technically they are different aspects of the same process...people often use them interchangeably so I've finally given in and started using it like the masses do. Off topic but apropos: Personally I still think the word "Literally" means literally but did you know the English Dictionary is changing it to mean figuratively rather than the meaning I was brought up to know it as, which means...actually. so...since you know the difference you are either in my age group (Older Gen X) or a science nerd. I'm both. sad to say I've given in. Coming back to your next question which will be "what's the difference between Scoby and Mother" Basically, the SCOBY and mother are associated with different types of fermented products. While a SCOBY is a key player in the production of fermented beverages like kombucha, the mother is formed during the fermentation of vinegar.

Avocados grow in a variety of climates so long as the temp does not go below 32 too often or for prolonged periods of time. In northern Mexico we have one variety that we call 'cascara de papel' because the peel is so thin it can be eaten. I like that avocado above all other varieties: small pit, creamy flesh and spreads like butter in hot corn tortilla. I still remember buying a kilo of fresh tortillas, a bag of pressed chicharron, and a kilo of aguacates and making tacos on the way to the ranch, the aguacates still with the peel on. However, I can only get the locally because it bruces too easily during transport.
