As long as there's oil and profit to be made off of it, we will have ICE engines, and because oil is a renewable resource we will always find more/new oil. What!? You didn't know oil is a renewable resource? That's right the earth with it's internal fire is always making new oil, it's a byproduct of this internal combustion, much like creosote in a wood stove, and you thought it was only from dino's and plants, that's a big lie, they call it "fossil fuel" to make you believe in the scarcity of oil, helps keep the price up if you believe we'll run out some day, research learn the truth.

I don't think that's really the case. At least in automobiles. There are already makers that are stopping any internal combustion production by 2020. We're on the rapid decline. Even diesels are getting ready to get replaced by electrics in some industries. I suspect by 2040 we'll be internal combustion free in a lot of places.

The latter includes mild hybrids, however, which could turn out to be a simple as an advancement of the stop/start technology many of its cars already have. So what do you think is "really the case" now? Jaguar said they would ELECTRIFY all of it's cars by 2020, they did NOT say they would cease all production of ICE engines. So suspect what you like, but don't misquote what's said.

It's worth the $50 a year imo, to some people it's not and that's fine but they need the income source. KZbin doesn't pay them anymore and add revenue isn't what it used to be, and sponsors only sponsor so much.
