French chef Jean Imbert and his grandma cook crème caramel | Vogue Paris

Vogue Paris accompanied Jean Imbert to his grandmother’s house to cook a crème caramel. Given the result of the signature dessert, it’s no surprise that the French chef credits his grandma for his passion for cooking, naming his restaurant ‘Mamie’ and his new recipe book ‘Merci Mamie’.

this kind of grandma is the old style and old generation, we are going to miss this type of grandma in the future . I'm already missed mine that passed away in 2005. "old style" grandma generation has this village and classic vibes...its soothing...perhaps they get his aura by surviving world war I and ii...they know hardships enough..

This was awesome. Almost made me cry. This is what we need more of in the world. Love, respect, cherish, and learn from our elders. My Mom’s Mom passed s’est before I could meet her. My Dad’s Mom didn’t want much to do with us and now she’s gone to. I had a great aunt though who could cook so awesome. I’ve learned from her. I hope to be this type of Grandmother one day.
