I can remember no one called terminate or even foxes or guns in that video, though that's a formality in this case if you're talking about a simple 1v1. The Rafale is sporting a UFO FM, it won't be anywhere near that hard to fight with a proper FM. The TWR is better than but similar to the M2000 (under specific conditions), so whatever this Rafale is doing that the M2K cannot do ... the Rafale should basically not be able to do. As for 30 deg/s, fairly certain you can get the flanker up to that with a well planned turn :)

F-22 Raptor wins, assuming a semi accurate DCS mod. It's better thrust-to-weight on top of thrust vectoring would be death sentence for the Rafale. Though it would be a closer fight compared to other recent videos.

The Rafale is rumored to have some classified active radar countermeasures that make it harder to lock on them... Apparently when the NATO campaign against Libya took place French Rafales were able to penetrate the Libyan air defenses without the need for specialized Electronic Warfare planes like the EA-18G Growler. Also, they are rumored to have some degree of radar-absorbant materials in key areas that give them a reduced cross-section compared to regular 4th-gen and "4.5th-gen" fighters.

Yeah it's half stealth and the super flares are from the SPECTRA thing that makes the Rafale almost impossible to hit. Lockheed Martin says it's 4,5 gen while Dassault says it's 5... gen has no meaning

It reminds me of an interview with Chuck Jones about the rules they set for Bugs Bunny cartoons: Bugs has to be provoked to mess with someone, because otherwise he’s a bully. Several demo pilots told me they struggle keeping the plane from breaking the sound barrier because it accelerates like crazy even at 10Gs when it has a clean and light configuration. Since then, the F-16 and Mirage 2000 solo demos look sluggish and slow in comparison.

The flight model of this MOD is crap. While 13 g might be aerodynamically possible, the FCS would normally prevent this. Otherwise the aircraft has to stay on the ground for a long time or even be scrapped. Doesn't make sense if you want to fly more than one sortie.

The Rafale was conceived after the French decided that the Eurofigher Typhoon wasn't going to be good enough for them. Wanting to replace their outdated arsenal of still capable Mirages, France left the development of the Typhoon to focus on their own vision of what the Typhoon could be, hence why it looks so similar. It outperforms its multi-national cousin in every way, save for the price tag, which is understandable.

Hey, I´ve been informing myself about the F-22 raptor and I have found some interesting stuff. For example, in 2009 during an ATLC there where some dogfights between countries. The one where the Raptor and the Rafale merged, ended up with 5 draws and 1 F-22 win. In 2012, during the Farnborough International Airshow, some German Eurofighter Typhoons and American F-22 had training dogfights. The German pilots concluded that the Raptor was not that impresive and that, in fact, the Typhoon was superior in a lot of aspects. It would be cool if you could simulate this dogfights in a video, and see what the outcome would be in DCS. Btw, great video, keep it up

the F22 did not kill the Rafale it is the opposite. the video of the dogfight shows it and if ever "ate chuet" he debriefed the video and being a former fighter pilot he said no bullshit.

This mod apparently gave the Rafale inertial dampeners like in sci-fi. Those micro adjustments with no penalty in airspeed or altitude... yeah, sure. A little too good.

With its canards being an active flight control surface (per Wiki), it has a structural G range from almost -4 to +9 in BFM situations and if an emergency, up to +11. Not sure if upper G level can be sustained by a pilot though...

I would like to see the fight stay inside the G-load parameters. Seeing what they would do without over-G’s. Still, pretty funny fight. Not as funny as the F-22 vs. SU-27 formation flight 😂
