In American history class, the English soldiers during the American Revolution are frequently referred to as "red coats", so I'll go with that interpretation for "les anglais ..."

They were English... :P . Seriously so, I think both our languages and history shows this. I don't things this feud will ever be over. It's like how in my own country there's somewhat some tension with Corsica, Basque country or Brittany... Or England with Scotland and Norther Ireland, etc... "Les Anglais ont débarqué" could be translated as "the Reds showed up" Débarquer doesn't mean getting off a boat (the word Paul was looking for is disembark) in this context, however it does have a military connotation It's like the enemy (the Reds) troops arrived as you weren't expecting them

Il y a du monde au balcon. Veut effectivement dire poitrine généreuse. Cela semble venir de la ressemblance des premiers soutient gorge qui ressemblaient à l'architecture des balcons au théâtre. Ce qui donne aussi une seconde dimensions a l'expression du moins a l'origine cela voulais également dire que c'était une femme qui avait un certain succès auprès des hommes. Car au théâtre les balcons était fréquentés par les nobles qui payaient pour assister au pièce alors que la fausse elle était parfois libre d'accès. Les Anglais n'ont pas envahi les États-Unis d'Amérique (je ne parle pas des indiens bien évidemment mais des WASP), C'était une guerre d'indépendance, les "américains' étaient venus avec les anglais (ou les néerlandais, les français, etc ...) et ils étaient sujets de la couronne Britannique ! Nous aussi les français sommes choqués par un mot anglais . Ce mot est.. female ! Ce qui signifie féminin en français . Pourquoi ?
