If you want your beef really tender you should sprinkle it with bicarb soda both sides and let it rest for about 15 mins or so. Rinse with water then cook as normal. Try it out, you won't be sorry!

@@emilypost7893 You're right about that but we were surprised because of the way how it was presented. It made it sound like she was still able to speak it at a high level but at the end, she said that she could barely speak it. I don't know her so I can't say for sure but I feel like she isn't confident in her French because, like you said, she may have stopped speaking the language for a while. She didn't say much but she pronounced every word flawlessly so she shouldn't worry!

@@woogoo400 she said she grew up in Ontario so it makes sense tbh since majority of people here are anglophone. Many of my friends went to all french/ french immersion schools up until highschool but their speaking ability in French was quite lacking, mostly because there are very few opportunities to actually speak French outside of the school setting so it comes down to lack confidence and practice. In terms of listening comprehension they do a lot better. (Also keep in mind that most teachers at these schools didn't grow up speaking French so they speak with a different accent and slower than an average person in France, which gets passed down to students)
