So if anybody’s interested… F1 British GP 2003 spectator runs out on track holding some sort of sign and the race is yellow flagged. Hockenheim 2000 a streaker ran out on track and the race was either yellow or red flagged I’m not sure. Singapore 2015 a fan made his way on the track as well. So there is a history of F1 races being affected by fans but not to the extend of the TDF obviously, that I’m aware of.

I know she's obviously wrong but... doesn't the system they have in place seem inherently flawed? Every time I watch the tour de france, I think it's dumb how close people are able to get to the bikers. They're literally allowed to run next to them, scream in their faces, etc etc. What if instead of her holding a sign, she had accidentally fallen? what if she had passed out? what if she had been pushed? There's nothing stopping kids from being there, what if a toddler wandered into the road? the issue is they should not let people that close to the bikers. this was inevitable.
