Cardboard, wood shavings,kitchen scraps etc are great for gardens. Worms just love eating and converting it into soil.

Hi Marloes, I’m a new subscriber and am catching up watching your older videos. How large is your property? I’m trying to visualize what part of the fields are yours and what is owned by the farmer. Do you own more land across the road? I saw in another video you are clearing an area for your Cottage guests to use. Would love to know more about your land sharing with the farmer neighbor. I really enjoy watching your channel and Olav’s channel.

Is there a post where you show your house and gardens???? I'm watching from the beginning and I still don't know what your house is like

No there isn’t a house tour video (yet) as we are still in the middle of a very intense renovation project. So it’s coming in bits and pieces as we progress!

Disappointing to see that poor calf left to suffer
@FrenchCountryLife2 жыл бұрын
It is not left to suffer. The vet has seen it and said it couldn’t be cured but could heal by itself. So the farmer put the calf in a large and quiet field with its mom and three other more quiet cows so it would have a better and less stressful environment. I have seen it recover over the months and it learned to walk without too much problems as it was given the space to. I had many misconceptions about all of this, being a vegetarian, and have seen how respectful most of our local farmers are towards their animals. Yes, they get eaten in the end (although not by me), but it doesn’t mean that farmers aren’t respectful and don’t care for their animals. Hard to understand to me as a vegetarian at first, until I saw it with the farmers in our village.
