This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact kzbin.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

Why do i need the "rain maker" to distribute the water if the ground coffe will be submersed anyway?
@trekkiejunk4 ай бұрын
You don't. Although in any cold brew container, you need to pour the water directly onto the grounds, and do it slooooowly, so they all get saturated.

You put the lid on upside down over the rainmaker. Just makes it easier to remove afterwards if it's on the right way, doesn't affect the performance obviously.

I put my AeroPress paper filter over the metal filter of my Oxo after watching this video and reading the comments. It was just a hair's breadth snug, but it fit okay. I don't know if it was because of the filter, but I had a harder time than usual trying to line up the vertical lines. Anyway, whether it was the paper filter, or whether I somehow knocked the spring into open position, it was a fiasco! I had coffee and grounds all over my kitchen. .. After cleaning up the mess I took out the paper filter and gently nudged the spring, just in case it was the spring. Now it's working just fine - no leaking! I will never try it with a paper filter again. There's that old saying.. "If it ain't broke..."

There is no way to filter the grounds out of this mess. And mess it it. The damn thing leaks. You are better off using a Mason jar and filtering through your old coffee maker. This thing is junk.
@starmessenger6 ай бұрын
Mine doesn't leak; I've used it many times. Make sure you grind your beans coarsely. You can always use a sieve after you are done draining your brew, although I have never had a problem with grounds.

Welll... I take it back. Just minutes after posting my comment, I went to fix my cold brew. Whether it was because I decided to try adding a paper filter, or I somehow got the spring stuck in open mode, the coffee and grounds ended up all over my counter, cabinet, and floor. It was a colossal mess! After cleaning it all up I took out the filter, nudged the spring, and tried again. This time it worked. So far, no leakage. But I put the unit into a big mixing bowl just to make sure I don't wake up to find my refrigerator full of coffee. .. Oh, one more thing.. after putting the paper filter in, it was harder than usual to match up the lines on the container, so maybe that had some bearing on the incident.
