This is a rule in algebra. When a negative number is in the exponent, the exponent can be flipped to the other side of the fraction and the negative is removed. In this case, (3 x 10^8)/(4.1 x 10^-7) = (3 x 10^8)(10^7)/(4.1) = 7.3 x 10^14

My guess is you didn't use the EE (exponential key) when you typed in the values that had exponents. Do not use the 10^x key because that is for the antilog.

Good catch on my human error! I wrote 1,000,000 and meant 1,000,000,000. 1 nm = 1 x 10^-9 m or 1 m = 1 x 10^+9 nm. Both are the same conversion just different ways of writing it.

410 nm is 4.10 x 10^2 so when you divide that by 1 x 10^9 you get 4.10 x 10^-7 (At 3:37). When you divide exponents you subtract them. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and hopefully subscribing :)

Yes. To convert mm to m you will need divide by 1000. For example, if you had 0.123 mm it would be equal to 0.000123m.

I converted 410 nanometers to its equivalent length in meters. To do this you need the conversion factor: 1m = 10^9nm. Just multiply 410nm by (1m/10^9nm). This gives you 4.1 x 10^-7 and the nm cancels out, leaving you with meters for your units.

Mam sorry to say. But in India We calculate that kind of problem in less then 5 seconds. Even my grandma can solve.
