Stephanie S same -I went through my matte (craft paints) and chose similar colours. Turned out much the same. I cut and tear out shapes ( love hearts) to use in collage and little tags. I love fresco greens tho and don’t have many so may order some of those.

Morning great vid thank you for sharing your skills. could you tell me do these paints last or do they fade . was hoping to use them in my collage paintings many thanks.
@MrsPaperArtsy2 жыл бұрын
Hi Salmo, these paints are UV safe, so for example you can paint things and leave them in direct sunlight and they will not fade, which is a pretty unusual apint feature for a craft grade product. So you are good to go! Enjoy!

I have just found your channel and love it!! This background technique is beautiful but I don't have your chalk paints but have ample of other acrylic paints and at this stage would like to use up my old paints before purchasing more, will it work with other paints? I haven't done much crafting for quite awhile, due to sickness, but when I do get back into it would love to try this!!
@MrsPaperArtsy9 жыл бұрын
mazajpeter I'm not sure, the beauty of the Frescos is the high chalk content means they dry fast from layer to layer, so there is no heat-gun drying required. They also do not blend 'wet into wet'. That could happen with another brand. However, that might be a good thing. You know what I'm going to say i expect!!.... try it and find out! ~Leandra

I love the fresco paints but it is so hard to know which colors to get. I want to invest in about 16 colors initially. Do you have suggestions on which to get if I want to have some coverage across color families.

Hi Kathy, the opaques dry very fast, so depending on your climate open time can be affected. An option is to add some gloss glaze to the paint to extend open time. The translucents are inherently slimier, and thus stay wet longer. They still dry matte, and fast, again, adding more gloss glaze will extend your working window. Many people enjoy them on GP, but I am not a GP guru so can only report what I have heard. HTH, Leandra
