Some new world cigars I smoke without aging, but in 2008 I decided to age some Rocky Patel Decades. After 16 years, they are absolutely sublime. The smoke output is ridiculous. I would highly recommend aging your favorite new world sticks for at least 15 years. The wait is well worth it.

In my 40 years of cigar smoking I never once thought to angle cut a torpedo. Brilliant. I have virtually stopped smoking Cubans. Too many years of inconsistent quality. Not just green, but tight wraps, plugs and poor burning. All the while the new world cigars continued to improve leaps and bounds.
