The third game has a super bad aesthetic, instead of the WW2 one it's got anime colours and seizure causing hit sparks, it's really bad

The only characters that seemed to fit the new aesthetic were En Eins, Pink lady and red helmet lady, the rest felt crammed in like a spin-off for some reason. Even more unfitting is that the same character themes from ABAA were present despite the incredibly bizarre tonal shift.

I just read up on the game plot. I thought this was a game with all Nazi characters, but I realized that was a really foolish idea. The whole game actually takes place in China and Tibet, although I think Kanae's stage is on another continent and I think she looks similar to American soldiers or something. The Nazi base is actually really secretive. It would seem like it is a future where Nazism rules or something, but instead they are in a secret base tucked away in the biggest canyon in the world (Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon in Tibet), meaning they don't really have influence over the world at this point. (It is interesting to note that this canyon has extremely powerful rivers that could make the most powerful hydroelectric dam yet and China is already planning to make such a dam.) Considering that Akatsuki's goal and success means the death of this potential starting point of a Nazi empire with its "Blitz engines" for humans manipulating electricity, this game is more like the death of Nazism, at least on the canonical path. I am probably correct in guessing the sequel is like a resurrection of the characters who die in this one (which would give its really trippy colorful art direction more of a reason to exist).

Old video but...These are the type of old school fighters I’d like to see in PS4-PS5 compilations and on PSN store. I’m getting bored terrible ACA king of fighters and samurai shodown ports, with no training mode. I’d absolutely love to play this on PlayStation consoles. My favorite characters were the “Guile guys” The grappler lady with the nice legs lol 😂 and The samurai sword fighter. Don’t understand why anyone hasn’t updated this series. Fun fact: the Menos in Bleach Dark Souls/The Blade of Fate on DS have the exact same moveset and a similar appearance/comparable size to the Blitztank. And both are boss characters. However, both games came out at around the same time.
